About 16 months ago we had a seismic shift in our lives - our precious grandson Charlie was born. In a blink our world shifted and we re-evaluated. Our oasis in the mountains, the land, the renovations, the fantasy art studio… all paled in comparison to the new little family just getting started in Ohio. In the blink of an eye, we decided to move! With people in place on the farm to care for the animals and the land, we packed up our stuff (art supplies) and moved 8 minutes away from our amazing daughter and her new little family. We missed Lando and Lewis but thought they would be happy there doing what they have done since they were 8 weeks old. Living with the goats and chickens. It had gotten harder and harder for me, knowing they weren’t getting as much human time and attention as we would give them. Sooooo I went and got them! Plus our barn cat Picasso. We had an uneventful drive up yesterday and all is going well. We are one of those crazy families with 5 Great Pyrenees plus a cat and I can’t stop smiling. It will take me weeks to get the mats out of their coats and for the animals to truly settle in. They are home. by @irispattillo

If anyone’s looking for me I’ll be in my hammock with my boy Lucky by my side staring at the beautiful garden my love and I have been building together. Sipping high protein hot chocolate and contemplating the profound changes we have experienced over the last 14 months. Charlie changed everything and I am beyond grateful. taken in Westerville, Ohio by @irispattillo
