Beyond thrilled to announce that I’ve been selected to join the 31st cohort of the Chef Bootcamp for Policy & Change hosted by @beardfoundation ! 🙌🍴

This September, I’ll be gathering in Cold Spring, New York, alongside incredible culinary leaders from across the country to advocate for the policies that shape our industry and food system. Because being a chef today goes far beyond the line; food is policy, community, and our future 🌱

Special thanks to the James Beard Foundation Institute for making it possible!

"BEET TARTARE"
Wanted to take a Traditional French recipe and reinvent it by getting rid of it's main ingredient: meat. I used Beets instead, particularly roasted Beets with toasted pita Bread as its base. To contrast the color and texture of the Beets, I used fresh Avocado. Finally, I sprinkled some purple Amaranth Microgreens, Beet leaf oil, and Himalayan Pink Salt. I guess you can say this is pretty savoureux #tartare #beets #nyc #nycchefs #catering taken in New York, New York by @irisrozinsky

Memories from 2025
Grateful to have been part of this beautiful event
@thelibiproject on its Food Industry Nigh No. 7!

I helped my dear friend @cameofuccci of @allorapasta prep and set the table alongside @mustbethemonay for an inspiring evening hosted by @carligordon_
We built a display meant to gather people — pasta salad, bean salad, citrus & fennel salad, towers of butter dusted in golden black pepper, and fresh focaccia ready to tear and share.
Beyond the food, the night was about creating that community that the food industry in NYC needs so much to keep us going.
Ending with a thoughtful panel discussion, exploring the intersection of food, activism, and culinary entrepreneurship with voices like @dan.giusti @natashapickowicz @asmeretasmeret and the chance to connect with incredible people doing powerful work:

A beautiful evening in SoHo celebrating the New York launch of @marliesgrace, hosted at Kirna Zabête @kirnazabete on September 15th. 🍸

It was a pleasure to cater this intimate private celebration and be part of such a special moment for the brand. From the setting to the details, the evening beautifully reflected the effortless elegance behind Marlies Grace.

Congratulations to @verenamartincvm, founder, and her daughter @lara.brinkmann, co-founder & CEO, on this exciting new chapter.

Honored to have been part of the celebration and to bring our culinary touch to such a memorable evening in New York City. 🙌 Spices provided by the best @soschefs

Embracing the shift in season requires a deliberate approach to tablescape design. An arrangement of deep autumnal tones and rich organic textures is an intentional statement piece that grounds the dining table in time and place.

At IR Catering (@iriscateringdesign), we hold the visual landscape of the event in equal regard to the menu. Every component is thoughtfully curated to create a harmonious, sustainable, and deeply intentional atmosphere.

To inquire about bespoke autumnal floral designs or full tablescape curation for the upcoming season, please contact us at iris@ircatering.com.

Sitting alongside such a brilliant cohort of chefs at the James Beard Foundation Chef Bootcamp for Policy & Change was both inspiring and humbling.
It reminded me that from the farmer who cares for the soil, to the chef who sources, purchases, creates menus, and decides what happens to what remains, we all have a role in shaping our food system.
As chefs, we should develop our advocacy skills with the same dedication we give to our culinary skills. Our decisions and our voices can support farmers, reduce food waste, improve food access, and help build a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable food system.
Deeply grateful to the James Beard Foundation team, Glynwood Farm, and this incredible group of chefs for the conversations, generosity, vulnerability and inspiration!

Some experiences remind you why you chose food in the first place.
The James Beard Foundation Chef Bootcamp for Policy & Change was one of those experiences.
I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of this week—not only for everything I learned about advocacy, policy, and the power and responsibility! we have as food professionals, but even more for the people I met along the way.
Being surrounded by so many inspiring chefs who care deeply about their communities and the future of our food system was truly special.
And to the James Beard Foundation team and everyone at Glynwood Farm: thank you for creating such a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring space. Your kindness made this experience even more meaningful.
I’m leaving with new ideas, new questions, and, most importantly, a community of people who reminded me that food can be a powerful tool for change.
Feeling grateful, inspired, and excited to take what I learned back to my own kitchen, my catering company, and my community. taken in New York, New York by @irisrozinsky

Last fall, during Hispanic Heritage Month, I had the beautiful opportunity to volunteer my time and share a little piece of my culinary journey with the students at Francis Lewis High School, @lewisculinary. ❤️

I’m especially grateful to my dear friend Victoria Tapia, @lavenderxolive, for inviting me to be part of this special experience. Victoria is one of the wonderful teachers in the Culinary Arts program at Francis Lewis, and it meant so much to me to be welcomed into her classroom to share with her students.

Connecting through food, culture, stories, and the traditions that bring us together is truly special. I’m thankful for the opportunity to contribute, learn from the students, and celebrate Hispanic heritage meaningfully.

A beautiful memory from Fall 2025 that I’m happy to finally share. by @irisrozinsky

Food isn't just nourishment, it's community, solidarity, and action.
On September 6th, a bunch of incredible bakers and makers came together at @littleislandnyc for an unforgettable bake sale organized by the amazing @natashapickowicz. It was a huge pleasure to assist and try the creations of so many talented peers, serving sweet and savory creations to support @maketheroadny.

Make the Road NYC is the largest progressive, grassroots, immigrant-led organization in New York State, doing essential work in workers' rights, immigrant and civil rights, environmental and housing justice, educational justice, and support for TGNCIQ+ communities. Thanks to everyone who showed up, bought a treat, and stood in solidarity to support their mission. 💛

Friday night ❤️

Had such a great time collaborating with my amazing friend @irisrozinsky on our Mexican Jewish food adventure. We put lots of love into this project, and seeing everyone actually there eating, hanging out and enjoying it was the best feeling.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported us, ate, hung out and made the night what it was. We felt so much love and appreciation.

And a huge thank you to @lalinsbk for being such wonderful hosts and letting us take over your space for the night ❤️ Truly the best neighborhood spot for coffee, drinks, and hanging out! Couldn’t have asked for a better home for this.

Iris and I loved making this together, and we’re feeling very hopeful and excited about what might come next.

We are hopeful for more to come in the near future :)

Also thank you @zachbnyc for taking these photos — and for jumping on expo when things got busy

The kitchen is already heating up! 🔥🌮

These Mexican and Jewish flavors coming together is pure magic. We are taking the traditions we grew up with and flipping them on their head for our exclusive NYC pop-up.
