Hi! I’m Alexa — Licensed Master Esthetician, Brow Artist, and the face behind Iris + Ember here in Tacoma/Lakewood, WA. If you love great brows, clean waxes, and lash lifts that make your mornings easier, we’re about to be besties 🫶🏼

I realized I haven’t properly introduced myself on here yet so here’s a few fun facts about me:

♡ I’m a Christian and my faith is new but very meaningful to me.
♡ I’m happily married. Going on 8 years 🤎
♡ No kids yet, but two bonus babies and two dogs ☺️
♡ I originally went to esthetician school because of my eczema, but quickly fell in love with brows — skincare is definitely in Iris + Ember’s future though so stay tuned for that! 🧖🏼‍♀️
♡ If I was stranded on an island, one of the items I’d have to take is my kindle hehe.
♡ I’m a U.S. Army veteran (I know… it surprises everyone 🫡)
♡ I’m super competitive and love all board games and Scrabble is my current obsession.
♡ My go-to drink? a CRISP Diet Coke!
♡ I have a degree in psychology… so yes, I’m basically your esthetician and your therapist 💅🏼

04/05/26 - born again †

This Resurrection Sunday I proclaimed my faith and love for Jesus Christ to the world through baptism. That is something I never thought I’d say but won’t He make a way!

For most of my life, I knew of God but I didn’t truly know Him. As I experienced more pain and brokenness in life, my heart hardened and I turned away from Him. I questioned everything and convinced myself that faith was just something people used as a crutch.

When I finally started turning back toward God, I didn’t come with a pure heart. I came with ultimatums and I told Him that if He fixed certain things in my life then I would believe in Him. But even when I met Him with anger, doubt, and conditions… He still chose to meet me where I was.

Jesus went to the cross for me knowing I would deny Him for years and it is humbling and painful - big lump in your throat painful knowing He still chose to love me that much.

Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.” When I finally and truly sought Him with my whole heart, I found exactly what I had been missing all along.

Can’t believe she’s been with me since the start! 🤍 We normally do a brow tint but her baby shower is this weekend (how?!?) so we spoiled her with a Korean lash lift too.
