Lord of Shadows ⚔️🌊✨
You do NOT want to know how long it took me to pick out my favorite moments from this book😅😅 Guys this might (??) be my favorite book of all time, and definitely my favorite Shadowhunter book. It’s hard to put into words how this story makes me feel. This book feels like the setup for all things to come and I could feel the tonal shift into doom and despair. Julian remains THE father figure and THE yearner!!!! He and Emma continue to steal my heart and the tension is SO GOOD!!! I also feel like their friendship is underrated because the romance is always talked about, but I truly think they have some of the most adorable bff tendencies. By far my favorite part of this reread was all the Kit and Ty moments. They are my babies and I will protect them with my life!! I cannot wait for more content of them in the next few years!!!! As mentioned, this book really starts to shine a light on what may be on the horizon for the Shadowhunter Chronicles as we get prepared for The Wicked Powers. I already miss this book but would like to pretend that the ending never happened😀 I’m already a third of the way through Queen of Air and Darkness and loving it even more than last time (thus has been the case for every book this reread haha)!! #lordofshadows #cassandraclare #thedarkartifices #theshadowhunterchronicles #shadowhunters taken in BOOKSTA by @irlclaryfairchild

Contrary to popular belief, I do read books other than the Shadowhunter Chronicles!! I recently finished Threshing Day and it was such a fun time. To put it into the words of my mom, “it’s a collection of stories about the human experience.” There is something about reading beloved characters’ biggest insecurities and giant, menacing dragons seeing through their flaws and saying “yes, but you are worthy anyway” 🥹🥹🥹 This book was such a love letter to us Empyrean fans and I can’t wait for book 4 🐉✨🖤 (special thanks to my girl @halliedreaming for keeping my fangirl spirit alive as of late!!) #threshingday #rebeccayarros #empyreanseries #empyrean #fourthwing

Lady Midnight 🌊⚔️🤍
What to say? This reread has already cemented TDA as my favorite Shadowhunter trilogy thus far. I have been DYING to get to these books and now that I’m here I want to savor it. This book is insane. The amount of content that is packed into the pages makes for one of the most thrilling and vivid first-books-in-a-series I have ever read. Fun fact about me is that my two favorite romance tropes are best friends to lovers and forbidden love, so Emma and Julian are THE couple for me! Julian as a character makes me sick in the heart. It is physically painful to read his POVs because of how full of yearning they are. I see myself in him so much so he gives me a sense of melancholy and nostalgia I can’t truly describe. Emma reminds me so much of my sister it’s hilarious - especially when she breaks up with Cameron HAHA!! AND THE LITTLE HINTS OF KITTY!! THEIR FIRST MEETING!!! There is no family like the Blackthorn family and mix their bond in with mystery and stakes??? I’m WEAK!! Also, I have been reading while listening to my character playlists more and more and I have come to the conclusion that my TDA character playlists are my best work yet (as you can probably tell from my stories and this post lol) I haven’t felt this way reading in a long time. Next book is my Very Favorite so get ready to be sick of me as I read Lord of Shadows!! #ladymidnight #thedarkartifices #cassandraclare #theshadowhunterchronicles #shadowhunters taken in BOOKSTA by @irlclaryfairchild
