made it to my fav season 🪁 everything’s in bloom, my hearts opening back up and life’s feeling very cute 🌸 excited to play and share music in public over the next month, especially with friends old and new 🌀 here’s where you’ll find me:

And to give a proper start to the season… Interzone presents The Wonk: a take over of the Barbossa club (3956 bd. Saint-Laurent) for a night of extra-territorial dub, high-dimensional breaks and insider house.

We are especially thrilled to welcome two eminent leftfield specialists who sucessfully warp dance floors and chill-out rooms alike (@osterplana and @irlhuman). Our own @physis.lover brings things to a close with a rare set of lysergic tape drifters.

Eglise Saint-Edouarde is wheelchair-accessible, but please let us know in advance if you need to use it since it is at a separate entrance of the church.

Dizzy Play, IRL & laced team up for a late spring night at @bardatcha . A trio of composer-DJs, they cover a wide spectrum of styles - ranging from ambient live performance to underground dance music. Collectively, they’ve played across many Montréal stages, most recently at MUTEK, Piknic Électronik, Exposé Noir, FLUSH, and Parquette. With a mutual love for all things bass, expect an evening that bounces between breaks, bassline, UKG, 2-step, IDM, tech-house and dubby halftime.

Live ambient, experimental and spatial audio.

For this evening we welcome ambient duo Echönymphia, moving between harp, piano, synthesis, and field recordings, shaping slow-evolving sound environments. IRL builds modular compositions grounded in repetition, texture, and physical resonance. Audréanne Filion combines cello and live electronics blending improvisation and electroacoustic composition.

“Listening is often assumed to be neutral; the passive act of openly receiving the information around us, shaped by our attention, our histories, and the conditions under which we listen. What we hear, and how we hear it, is entangled with our positions in the world: social, spatial, and ecological. Our conversations revealed how it can reproduce colonial epistemologies—ways of knowing based on separation, possession, and control.”

Des drones puissants envahissent la salle, des sons chaleureux vous enveloppent, un maestro numérique post-classique et une violoniste anti-virtuose s’affrontent: la soirée promet un large éventail de musique ambient. Powerful drones washing over the room, warm textural sounds wrapping around you, a post-classical digital maestro and an anti-virtuoso violinist clashing: the night is promising a wide spectrum of ambient music. Hair-raising noise, advanced modular synth works, tear-jerking string works, and psychoacoustic ear candy all come together to tug on your brainstrings.
