UNDERTRAINED & UNDERFUELED at @dirty.lands

those gravels definitely call for suspension, bigger tires, and absolutely A LOT more skills than whatever i brought to the table that day LOL (honestly will i ever get better at this?🗿)

August felt like the universe was quietly rooting for me.

All the odds seemed to be in my favor: connections made, adventures explored, little moments that somehow turned into something much bigger. Dozens of spoken self-affirmations later, there I was, crossing the finish line, wrapping up the course.

I can’t remember how many times I shed tears while pedaling and not because I was feeling tired or frustrated. But because every now and then, I’d suddenly realise “oh, my body is really doing this”.

My legs didn’t always feel strong. My heart, somehow, stayed steady, and grew even stronger.

Looking back at the photographs now, I barely remember the hard parts. Mostly I just see myself smiling from ear to ear. And that tells a lot about this journey.

Grateful for the roads that challenged me, the people who I shared path with, the adventures that found me, and the version of myself who kept going. ♡ by @irmachi_
