Our church family is so amazing! We really do feel so honored and valued and appreciated…BUT!!!!!! Pastors Appreciation Month is also a time to honor the families who serve right alongside them. I have the privilege to see behind the scene and I can honestly say that our Pastors and Staff come with INCREDIBLE spouses and children with such servant hearts! So I want to say thank you to all our PK’s and staff’s children/spouses who make sacrifices, give countless hours, and often share their family time with the demands of ministry. They know what it means to have plans change, miss a game or an event, or share their mom or dad with the needs of the church family. For these families, the house of the Lord becomes a second home, and when ministry calls, they jump in and serve with willing hearts. So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, often without recognition, but their impact is immeasurable.
To our pastors’ spouses and children: we see you, we appreciate you, and we are so grateful for you. Thank you for the countless ways you help carry the vision God has placed on this house.
Ministry is never just a one-person calling. It touches the whole family, and we truly couldn’t do it without each and every one of you! by @irmaribasson

25 years. 🤍
Twenty-five years of loving you, doing life with you, raising our kids with you, and somehow, by the grace of God, getting to do build His kingdom and His Church with you.
When I think about these 25 years, one of the greatest gifts I can thank God for is the calling He placed on our lives together. I don’t take it lightly that God chose us to serve Him side by side.
There is something so sacred about being married to the person you also get to stand beside in ministry. To dream together. To pray together. To believe together. To carry people together. To celebrate the victories and walk through the hard seasons together. To watch God use our lives, our family, our story, and even our weaknesses for His Kingdom. It’s humbling, holy and hard and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else but you!
You have been my husband and leader, my best friend, and my ministry companion for 25 years. I’m so blessed!
Thank you for saying yes to God even when I followed kicking and screaming.
Thank you for saying yes to me with all my flaws. I can’t understand how I deserve the love you give me.
Thank you for building this life with me and for loving me the way you do.
And thank you for letting me stand beside you as we give our lives to something bigger than ourselves.
25 years down. And I still choose you. Joyfully! You are a man of integrity, of courage, boldness, deep rooted passion and dedication. I see Jesus in you! While serving, pastoring and mentoring but also at home. Our kids are blessed to have you as their example! And I still say yes to you and whatever God has ahead for us. I love you more than words can explain!
Happy 25th Anniversary, Liefie! The next 25 will be even greater…oh no wait…25 more years…that will make you 77! Hopefully we are retired by then playing with our grand babies!!! by @irmaribasson

Each week there’s 27 different groups with only women gathered all over the community with the desire to be connected and to grow together. Isn’t that so beautiful!?

Last night was one of those nights.

One of our sisters shared a beautiful testimony of how we walk this road of sanctification and no matter how far we pull away from God, He always is waiting for us to turn back to Him. No matter how big the mess or how hard the heart has become.

At one point I looked across the room and couldn’t help but get emotional. What a gift it is to be surrounded by so many incredible women. All just like me. Falling short every day.

And then hearing testimonies of how perfectly God orchestrated our circles. How He brought the exact right women together in the exact right circle. Only God.

I can’t wait for next week! What a God we serve!

I’m SO excited for this to start!!! Up until now I haven’t ben able to host a Life Group consistently but I’m finally at a place where I can and I can not wait for this to start up.

I recently read a statement that said “relationships don’t grow in rows, they grow in circles” and that is EXACTLY to heart and goal for this group.

Women from ALL backgrounds and ALL seasons of life will gather in one large room, but each person will belong in a circle. Each circle is hosted by a Circle leader who will lead each circle as a mini life group. I know this model will build greater connections, stronger relationships and a deeper sense of belonging - and THAT warms my heart!

Plus, how fun to have a room full of women who all want to grow in their relationship with Jesus! One room full of Heart Sisters!

Can you tell how excited I am? 😁 Now if you are reading this and something on the inside is warming up - you probably need to join us!

Heart Sisters will start Wednesday Sept 9th and run until Nov 18th, every Wednesday night from 6-7:30pm at the NSU Jazz lab. We will spend time connecting, together listen to a short teaching and then discuss/share in our circles of no more than 8. We keep the circles small so we can pray for each other and do life together.

Sign up is required and will close once we reach max capacity.
