Welcome to Alopecia Awareness Month. 💙

I’ve lived with alopecia since I was six years old, and for years, so much of my journey was about hiding, fitting in and fearing how others would see me.

Today, my message is different.

Alopecia may have changed how I look, but healing changed how I see myself.

This month, I’m creating space for conversations about alopecia, but also about confidence, identity, acceptance and the courage to show up fully as YOU.

Because we all deserve to be seen without shrinking, hiding or apologizing.

Be seen. Be bold. Be you.

23 years!!!!! Raising children, making plans, enduring mishaps, making new plans, laughing until we couldn’t see straight, crying when life was too much, uneventful days, sleepless nights, sporting events that seemed endless and years that seemed to just fly by. 23 years!!! We hadn’t even lived 23 years when we said “I do”, we were both only 22. Having someone to share things with and wake up next to never gets old. I pray for a long life, but no matter when it ends I’ll be happy because I got to spend so much time with you. I know how truly blessed I am. Happy 23rd Anniversary! by @irockitbald
