My “identity crisis” hit while the kids were in college.

Jeff’s didn’t hit until later — after the kids graduated college.

He still had a mission during those years: work hard, provide, pay for school.

Once that mission was complete, that’s when it hit him.

* Why would Matthew write this unless it really happened? This shows that not only do those of us in the modern era have difficulty believing in miracles, but even the apostles had difficulty believing what they were seeing. Yet, something eventually allowed them to believe so strongly that they would eventually go to their deaths defending their belief. by @ironidoc
