#UNGA week is a reminder that international affairs needs the voices of the next generation. For young Black women, global leadership is about more than having a seat at the table, it’s about shaping the conversations, policies, and partnerships that define our shared future.

Our perspectives belong in global spaces. #ActUpSis taken in United Nations Headquarters New York by @irunwithlula

i had the great fortune to be the MC of Somaliland Professionals of America Conference (@myslpa_) this year. as my parents continue to grow older it was my deepest intention this year to reconnect with my culture, religion and community. so when @i_gass reached out to me to host this event, i knew it was only Allah’s (swt) doing.

it was an incredible three day event in Atlanta. two things i took away from the event was that we’re in good hands with the younger generation but also what Dr. Edna Adan told me, “the best thing you can do for Somaliland is be the best you can be here in America.”

now more than ever, our work continues and i’m just happy to be apart of it. #ActUpSis #alhamdulillah by @irunwithlula

What I’ve learned so far is that it’s not about ideas, it’s about putting ideas into action. Nothing will work unless you do so do what keeps your spirit alive and double down on that. #ActUpSis taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @irunwithlula

this #CBC made one thing clear: Black women are not a footnote in Black politics. We are central to its future, its contradictions, and its power. Representation is one thing. Leverage is another. #ActUpSis taken in Washington D. C. by @irunwithlula

Family. Sisterhood. Business. And a @investfestival in between.

Grateful for the women who inspire me, build with me, and remind me that success is even sweeter when we bring each other along. #ActUpSis taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @irunwithlula

NYC’s progressive victories are forcing Democrats to confront an uncomfortable question: what if the party has misunderstood electability for years?

Progressive-backed candidates ousted incumbent Democrats and won key primaries by focusing on housing costs, healthcare, wages, childcare, public transit, and the broader affordability crisis—not political caution.

If voters are prioritizing solutions to rising costs across nearly every part of daily life, the Democratic establishment may need to rethink what actually wins elections. #iRunWithLula #LinkInBio by @irunwithlula
