In the verandahs of @svabhukohli ‘s house is where the magic actually took place. Alleys filled with a tune different from inside, and yet in harmony. With unexpected moments and conversations about life - this is where I lived that shared human experience we all talk about.
It’s as if music clears the air of all barriers and walls - giving us space to just be our selves. Spaces that @shalinisekhar creates embody just this - complete, unapologetic and, of a radical acceptance of the self.

Our life is filled with doors and windows - of opportunity, of exposure and sometimes as mere signifiers. I’ve been thinking a lot about life so far, and where i need to go from here. Searching for the right windows and doors - to open into the future.

In reality, the Machan has been a window that’s unlocked the music that i carried all through my childhood, but packed away when I reached Art school. In the next few posts, il attempt to share some of the magic @musicallyshruthi has brought into my life, and the lives of other lost ones like me.

@svabhukohli along with @seemakohli and @faraipatel opened wide the windows and doors of his beautiful home in Goa, for a week of meditation and self-discovery. One that i couldn’t have fully lived without @purple_wildfire , @shraddhaiyerr and Yogika 🌸

Whoever said you can’t make friends as adults, was clearly wrong. Because i’ve found souls that sway with love, and brave difficult discussions. And my heart is so full of gratitude 🤍

Driving into Spiti Valley, alongside the colourful Spiti river, the coniferous trees of Kinnaur give way to sparse shrubs of violet and thorny greens. And the grass disappears entirely, laying bare the stone in all its glory.

Over the last year, I’ve used every opportunity at hand to travel and really live a little bit more of the beautiful India. While our lives in the cities are fraught with unhappiness and discord, there is something in the quiet rhythm of nature, that heals. That’s what I’ve been chasing - a glimpse of an answer to the eternally elusive happiness.
While i still have a long way to go, it gives me solace to think that I’m on the path now. That it’s probably in these moments that come together to make a lifetime. I’m hoping that means I’m secretly a Finn ☺️ even though all the beautiful images in this reel are from different parts of India ♥️

As we made our way along the isolated roads of Ladakh, we couldn’t help but feel dwarfed by the towering mountains that surrounded us on all sides. The air is crisp and clear, and the only sounds are the rhythmic whir of the bike’s engine and the occasional distant call of a bird.
The landscape is otherworldly, with towering peaks that stretch up to the bright blue sky, and vast valleys that seem to go on forever.
This song and the beautiful voice it’s sung in, brought back both the movement and stillness of Ladakh. So here I am, finally sharing a glimpse :)
