The NCRHA is excited to return to The Rinks - Irvine Inline to host the 2027 National Collegiate Roller Hockey Championships!

This will be the 2nd time the championship event has been held at the Irvine Inline facility and the 5th time it has been held in California!

🚨 Long post alert 🚨

The Gardner family has been deeply involved in hockey for years, and Emma’s story has been a difficult one. Her first major collapse happened immediately after a college hockey game outside Boston. At the time, doctors were unsure what was happening and initially believed it could be related to COVID.
After returning home to Los Angeles, Emma collapsed again outside Lakewood Ice Arena during a tournament. She was left unable to speak and temporarily paralyzed. Through physical therapy, she slowly learned to speak and walk again. While continuing her recovery, she later collapsed a third time during balance exercises at a physical therapy office and spent another month in the hospital rebuilding those same basic skills.
It was during that hospitalization that a neurologist pushed for further testing, including a spinal tap. By combining those results with Emma’s previous imaging and testing from Boston, doctors were finally able to identify the cause: Multiple Sclerosis, or MS.
Today, Emma continues to recover, move forward, and rebuild her life while returning back to college with the support of her family and community.

The LGBTQ Center OC is thrilled to extend an invitation for you to participate in our upcoming Roller Rink Fundraiser: Skate & Skream!

We invite Orange County LGBTQIA+ youth, young adults, families, and allies to join us at this safe, family-friendly, inclusive community event where you can skate the night away! Half of the raised proceeds will go towards the LGBTQ Center OC's Youth/Young Adult Program to support its upcoming holiday event in December, Queer Joy!

Skate & Skream will be a night of community connection, treats, and a chance to show off your costume!

We’re welcoming Never Far From Home to Irvine Inline for a full weekend of roller hockey, questionable decisions, sweaty gear, chirping and most importantly, raising money for a great cause. Details about the recipient will be revealed in due time, but what we can let slip is that the proceeds will be going to a local, making this even more special.

Studs both on the wheels and on the ice 🛼

Just getting back from my annual trip shooting the NARCh Finals in California and always have the time of my life getting to shoot the sport I love on rollerblades!

Over the 12 days, I got to shoot some pretty awesome players during their off-seasons on the wheels, and here’s a few of them, had a blast getting to catch up with all of them and wishing all the best of luck this upcoming season on the ice!

A great read and small glimpse of what it means to play in, work, or attend a NARCh finals event @irvineinline.

Months of prep go into each finals. Rink upgrades and facility work is only half the battle. Planning for and imagining every possible contingency in advance to keep the game rolling, and still random things happen. Our small staff of 30 come together for 12 brutal days in the dead of summer to put on the biggest hockey tournament in the country. We operate nearly 24 hours a day for the duration. At any given moment we have thousands of people in our roller hockey wonderland.

Staff are pushed to the limits with trash cans that seem to fill comically fast, snack bar lines, and bathroom restocks. But this is when the building is alive, there is an air of excitement and hockey stank. We wouldn’t have it any other way!
