This is the first time I say this words out loud but I believe that if He did it for me, He will do it for you!!

My life is far from perfect but the peace I have, the world couldn’t give me. I know now a kind of love I had never experienced in my life.

If you’re on the same boat, you are not alone! 🫂

Let me pray for you:
Lord, I pray for the person on the other side. I don’t know them but you do! Thank you for healing, thank you for freedom, thank you for transformation.
I pray that you allow their hearts to open and learn to love again, first You and then themselves.
I love you Jesus!! ❤️ AMEN!!

I prayed I could give my son a best friend. I’m glad God heard my prayer 🥰

Don’t get me wrong, they still fight… a lot! But they are besties and that’s all I care about 💙

Side note —Word of the day:
Upa (interjection) /OO-pah/: what a Latina mom says when a child coughs. Translation: “hands up, don’t choke.”

For years I believed these homeschool myths. Then I started homeschooling and realized how wrong they were 👇

❌ Myth: You need hours a day
✅ Truth: We do less than 30 minutes of “formal” studies most days. The rest of learning happens in real life — math at the grocery store, reading street signs, everyday conversations. Life is the curriculum.

❌ Myth: You need to teach every subject yourself
✅ Truth: I’m not a certified teacher in every subject and I don’t have to be. Co-ops, online resources, and everyday life do a lot of the teaching. My job is to guide, not know everything.

❌ Myth: You need a lot of money
✅ Truth: In Florida, we applied for Step Up For Students and got approved — those funds cover way more than curriculum. A homeschool teacher ID also gets you discounts almost everywhere. Homeschooling can cost way less than people assume.

❌ Myth: You need a sophisticated homeschool room
✅ Truth: We don’t have a Pinterest-worthy setup. We learn at the kitchen table, in the car, wherever life is happening. That’s not a lesser version of homeschool — that IS my homeschool style.

❌ Myth: You need to replicate school at home
✅ Truth: That’s actually the opposite of the point. Homeschooling lets you build something that fits YOUR kids and YOUR life, not a school schedule.

❌ Myth: Homeschooled kids are antisocial
✅ Truth: My kids have co-op, friends, family, and community. Socialization isn’t rows of desks — it’s real relationships across all ages.

When you become a mom, every child’s pain becomes yours too. 🥺

I was hugging my son today and wondering why I can get lost in a hug and it hit me… today a mom is grieving her child 😔 and I just don’t want to take any of these hugs for granted. ❤️‍🩹

Myth #1: School work has to happen in one place.

That’s what most of us were taught. But as an ADHD family, I’ve learned that when the dopamine runs out, pushing harder doesn’t work. Novelty does.

So we move. Grass, sofa, library, table. Same lesson, new energy, and suddenly we’re back in it.
