YOU ASKED FOR IT. YOU’VE GOT IT!

The legendary yet rare 1984B straight 4x12 bass cabinet by @marshallamps. Tis weapon of a cabinet features the love/hate worthy T1886 (ROLA @celestionuk 30 watt G12H drivers) delivering 120watts of pure Marshall oomf. I hope you enjoyed this demonstration of the cabinet! I recorded it with a @uaudio warbler condencer in conduction with my @tech21nyc sansamp deluxe. I powered the cabinet with a period correct original 1985 solid state Marshall IBS 200watt rack which sounded ridiculous.

Guitars - @prsguitars into @peaveyelectronics 6534 courtesy of @c.j.mcelwee! Mic’s with a power house Randall 4x12 OS and two SM57’s.
Bass - @sireusaofficial Marcus Miller V3with upgraded @seymourduncanpickups and @hipshotproducts hardware.

Here’s what my new metal guitar recording discovery sounds like!

Featuring the @shure sm57, @goldenageaudioofficial R2 ribbon and the @eminence_speaker 10” driver as the low frequency information aspect of the set up.

I recorded the 6505mh (red channel) going into the legendary (and incredibly rare) 1970’s @marshallamps 1984B 4x12 cabinet with original ROLA drivers.

Comment below and tell me what you thought.

Enjoy!!

Greetings!

Here is a compilation of styled riffs inspired by the guitar/owner of guitar that I have just serviced, fixed or restrung. This awesome jazzmaster belongs to @thekibbokift guitarist, @blindheit__ ! Whilst all these riffs may not represent the guitarist’s style to an exact description, it does get me in a similar ballpark of large open chords, delicate to high velocity chord and string attacks, which he does a lot of in his shoegazey punk band! For example, I wouldn’t start playing my own alternative modern thrash metal riffs on this guitar since those sort of riffs won’t be played on this guitar! I hope you enjoyed listening to the mixture of stuff I played to make sure this guitar is in tip top shape for its owner!

Get in touch if you have a guitar/bass that needs help!
