Not every chapter of my story has made sense.

Like Job, I’ve learned that faith isn’t built when life is easy—it’s built when everything is taken away and you still choose to trust God. This injury was a reminder that God is the author of my story and his plans for my life are far greater than mine. Baseball does not define me nor does my injury. My faith and hope is planted in Jesus Christ alone.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

This scar isn’t just from Tommy John, but it is a reminder that setbacks don’t cancel God’s promises. Sometimes the greatest growth comes through the greatest trials.

God has a plan. Even when I couldn’t see it, He never stopped writing it. by @isaacstebens
