The Mantra for this years theme, A Heart That Never Ceases to Wonder :||

It’s for you, it’s for the lost, the last. To the uncertainty, to the dread, to the things proclaimed hopeless and dead. A call, a challenge to wonder, imagine the breakthrough, to walk forward and draw out life as we were intended to. Fire and rest for the soul. Bless yall

Garment of Praise 2: An Ode to Risk

I think working in various creative/marketing jobs has left me a little numb to the whole process. (I mostly blame myself) but I think I’m still clinging onto the idea of purity haha I know like all art or design can be like referencing and nothing is original blah blah but when things get too tactical or strategic or safe it just makes me wonder why should I even be a part of that at all, like when I hear a lyric I could never have thought of or see an artist bring in a fresh idea or medium or something like that feeling is what drew me into street art, hiphop and anime like that fresh feeling

Anyways here are two pieces that I still adore til this day, one from @cune_official and from @cactusplantfleamarket . Two examples of things that brought back the feeling of freedom and purity in creativity. That no idea is too crazy or silly. That even if a lot people don’t like it, the idea/story is still worth pursuing, sharing and bringing to life. Something that asks “Why not” and runs into the places less ventured. I just love em haha   Im thankful to pieces like these, its gave me the courage to wear the ghillie suit around LA for the Neue Nature stuff, the courage make the Enako figure, and stay true to myself any time I make LLS things.

Story time! I have too many shoes but I swear some of them have real stories and significance to me haha as a streetwear fan and as a human 🫡 also I realized I haven’t posted anything personal or outside of Late related things so….

Garment of Praise 1: @nike x @sacaiofficial the blazers from a few years back always stuck out to me. So creative and bold with absolute freedom, the exact opposite of how I felt about myself and my life til then. A small huge reminder to keep going 😅 love u bye by @isaacusername

A HEART THAT NEVER CEASES TO WONDER:||  The first symbol/series that came to mind when designing the tank was Gurren Lagann. I think the clips honestly speak for itself. One of the most impactful character developments like seeing someone go through grief, building identity and just the epic fight for good. I get chills every time I see these clips.   I say this a lot with what I make, the garments are really a means of impartation. I pray that you’d feel empowered, encouraged and blessed wearing or supporting anything I create. Just like the “believe in me that believes in you” I really do believe in you! I believe in a God that believes in us too. I know you were built for great and wonderful things! So alongside grief, rage and whatever setbacks I know you’ll make it through. This tank is a reminder from me to keep running towards whatever Goliath is in your life right now. I know I’ll see you on the other side of that victory and breakthrough is. 🫡 Love you keep dreaming it’ll come sooner or later (yes thats a late dad joke) taken in Los Angeles, California by @isaacusername

A HEART THAT NEVER CEASES TO WONDER:||  I have to thank Final Fantasy for keeping me alive and inspired for all these years lol In years of intense depression it was a most comforting, inspiring world for me to slip away into. Every time I revisit it now, new things pop up and hit even harder a different than before and just on a visual level I’m even more impressed by the imagination and world built.   So now every few months I get the itch to play another RPG and this time I finally finished Final Fantasy Tactics, a game I never owned and would start at a friend’s house and never finish haha I finally got to see why Ramza is the goat. 🐐  Funny enough this year has been the most jaded or burnt out I’ve felt in a lot of spaces in my life. I can almost feel my heart start to echo statements like “it just is what it is” and slowly lose whatever fight is left in me. So when I hear characters like Ramza stand up for the lowly, choose to believe in friends no matter the circumstance and fighting for something greater than himself I get hyped and inspired. To look beyond whatever darkness exists right now and to fight for restoration. “On earth as it is in heaven”-type mentality. 🥊

A HEART THAT NEVER CEASES TO WONDER:||

The theme that’s been on my heart this year. Funny enough in maybe the most jaded and/or distracted state I’ve been in a while. But this theme is something I’m trying to center on and aspire to.

G-Gundam has special place in my heart, like the monologue will never leave my memory. But when I think of the fight to maintain wonder, I’m reminded through something as repetitive and silly as this to not dismiss the anger, sorrow and disappointment I carry or believe that’s all I have or am. But to carry it with me in prayer and in my heart to write a new story or chapter in my life. To boldly declare the future we’re reaching for as corny as it sounds til it’s reality. So of course I had to memorialize this as a reminder for me on the tank 🫡 okay love you all stay strong stay in it. 💙🔥 taken in Monterey Park, California by @isaacusername
