𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐬 @kemullins50 (she/her) — 𝑁𝑎𝑝𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑠 At the close of her Navy career in the early 2000s, Daughter—known as Sweetie to her mother—begins to notice troubling changes in her mother’s memory from far away. As the lapses grow more frequent, she struggles with distance, duty, and the fear of losing the woman who has always been her anchor. Inspired by the playwright’s own experiences, 𝑁𝑎𝑝𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑠 is a celebration of family, legacy, and the rituals that keep us connected through illness and loss. kmullins.org 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐛𝐲 @isabelownby (she/her) — 𝐵𝑅𝑂𝐾𝐸 In 2035, Avery loses her job just as she and her first-year lawyer husband, Aidan, fall into deep financial trouble. When a miraculous job opportunity appears, Avery’s pursuit of security forces her to confront not only the brokenness in her own life, but the fractures carried across generations by her parents and grandparents. Told through a threefold timeline, 𝐵𝑅𝑂𝐾𝐸 explores life’s highs and lows, challenges and triumphs, and what it means to truly love and commit to another person. The evening is hosted by Athena Project’s Literary Manager, Reilly Conlon @reillyjewll95, joined by Read & Rant’s Resident Dramaturg, Samara Siskind @samariet. #ReadAndRant #AthenaProjectArts #AmplifyWomen #AmplifyArt #WomenPlaywrights #ArtistsofColor #NewPlays #ScriptClub by @isabelownby$
