Ahhh this was so wonderful 🥲 I can’t express how grateful I am that we were able to secure seating at Skywalker Grill! We had some drinks, a delicious meal, then we walked around the museum looking at some amazing art. There were so many pieces from great American artists. What a curation. I almost cried when I saw the costume for the cowardly lion. Just so cool. Everyone go!

Okay part II of my adventurous 20’s: The nanny years

1. At an Oktoberfest in Austin, TX. I met these people through a couch surfing website.

2. A photo I took while stranded at a gas station in New Mexico. I was ride-sharing with someone who turned out to be really scary. It’s a long story 😭

3. On the way to Sioux Falls to nanny. The Midwest. Absolutely nothing ✨

4. The family I nannied for had a lake house in Okoboji, Iowa. Katherine took this photo of me. She’s probably almost 18 now.

5. I had never seen so much snow.

6. The family took me with them to Costa Rica. This was my view every morning at breakfast.

12. Before I left South Dakota I did a road trip with a cool person I met named Mariah. I wish we kept in touch! This is me at the Badlands.

I wanted to share some photos from one of the greatest times in my life. The adventure of a lifetime. I had just “finished” college and got a TESOL certificate. So I headed to Lop Buri, Thailand (about two hours north of Bangkok) and I taught English classes. It felt surreal. Everyone was so nice there. It taught me a lot about myself. I was 24 and I learned that I had a lot of growing up to do! I learned that I was spoiled. I learned that I could be brave. But man. So many times I got stuck in what felt like risky situations. Looking back a lot of it was due to my naivety and impatience. Here I am many years later and I’m still working on patience 😌 I have such good memories though. The best part was working with the kids. I was able to share with them my love of rock and pop music. That was so rad! When I got back I didn’t know what I wanted to do next so I just went straight from Thailand to San Antonio, Texas to stay with family for a little bit to kill time aka just bum-ing it😝 then I went into a whole other adventure that included lots of moving around, traveling and wtf moments-as a Nanny!More about that coming soon. by @isabelseye

The camping trip of my dreams. Truly. As a child growing up watching my favorite movies like Return of the Jedi and ET, I resonated with and was drawn to the lush forest depicted in those movies. The astounding redwoods towering over them, creating the most protective shade. And that one episode of X Files! (I think that was in Oregon.)
Before Nick proposed to me, I already had a clear vision of what I wanted our wedding day to look like. I saw green all around us. And creeks near by. I saw the calm and beauty only a forest could provide. What’s wild is the areas that we explored are just a small portion of the redwoods! There’s so many beautiful pockets all over the Pacific Northwest. The greatest coast in the entire world.
