Our good friend took a wonderful photo in early September from our rooftop of sunset over the Hudson. I painted it for them and delivered it last night as a birthday gift.

New Work: I was deeply moved by an early painting by Anselm Kiefer titled "Who ever has no house" in which he had been inspired by Rilke's poem. Anselm Kiefer paints monumental works often using gold leaf and lead. My small work titled The Remains is acrylic on canvas with Aspen tree bark, dried chile peppers, stems, flowers, and leaves. 9" x 7.5" by @isabelsummers
