From the first day I stepped on the mat, I dreamed of placing at counties and representing Long Island at states. I pushed my body past its limits, sacrificed time, endured pain, and gave everything I had. But sometimes, the story doesn’t end the way you envisioned.
I fell short of my goal, and while that stings, I walk away with no regrets. This sport has given me more than a medal ever could—discipline, resilience, lifelong friendships, and a mindset that will carry me far beyond the mat.
Thank you for the highs, the lows, and everything in between. This chapter closes, but the lessons live on.
