When I travel, I try to make the most of every moment. There’s just too many incredible places to see, and you never know if you’ll be back again, BUT, Copenhagen is one place that I can say for sure that I will return too.

I had the pleasure of staying with @nexthousecopenhagen during my visit. I’ve stayed at over 100 hostels and hotels in the past few years, and can honestly say that Next House is among the best. Whether you’re a solo backpacker, a digital nomad, or a family, Next House has space for everyone!

In 2023 I found a home in 6 new countries in Southeast Asia and returned feeling more lost then ever, but if I learned anything this year it’s that life is full of ups and downs and sometimes more downs then ups, but it’s all part of the adventure. The view from the top of the mountain wouldn’t be nearly as sweet without the climb, and I certainly had plenty of sweet views in 2023. Looking forward to whatever adventures 2024 has in store.

Thanks to everyone who made this year a very special part of my life.

It’s hard to believe that I was in Israel just over a year ago, and even attended a music festival not unlike the one that suffered a tragic fait at the hands of the murderous terrorists of Hamas a few days ago. Praying for everyone I met who is still in Israel fighting for their lives.

A few months ago I shared a video titled “This is Israel”. Israel is culture, beauty, and family. But Israel is also explosions in the sky, not from fireworks but from the Iron Dome intercepting thousands of rockets. If you don't use it, you lose it.

Working out is a big part of what keeps me sane and 14 months is a long time to take off of training. I had worked very hard for years to achieve a level of strength and size that I never thought I could, and it felt like it was erased in months. I stayed in shape by hiking and being very active but I craved strength training. It's been one of the only things that I've been able to jump right back into upon returning home but I know that it will be a long road back. Lot of hard work to come.

14 months, 12 days, and 3 hours. That's it. The fun and games are over, for now. All good things must come to an end eventually. It's certainly bittersweet for me to be home after an experience so incredible. I'm happy to see my family in friends. I'm happy to stop losing and breaking things. I'm happy to get back into some of my daily habits, but I also realize that these same habits pushed me to travel in the first place. In a way it shows that no situation will ever be perfect or fully gratifying. But that last 14 months have been as close to perfect as you can get, and Ive developed an insatiable for adventure. It will definitely take some time for me to readjust to life at home, but I hope I never fully settle, because this is just the beginning.

The first two questions I'm always asked about my trip are "How was it?" and "Where was your favorite place?". Both are impossible to answer. How do you sum up 14 months of ups and downs (but mostly ups) into one answer? Every country I visited had something incredible to offer so how could I pick just one? Well, I've got a lot of content from the trip to share and hopefully you'll see for yourself just how amazing it was.
