🇬🇧 Spinning the French🇲🇫 first pressing of Selling England by the Pound, catalog 64-99-761, featuring the iconic Charisma Mad Hatter label and its beautiful fully laminated first-issue cover. This highly collectible edition includes Side One: Dancing with the Moonlit Knight, I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe), Firth of Fifth, and More Fool Me (featuring Phil Collins on lead vocals). Side Two: The Battle of Epping Forest, After the Ordeal, The Cinema Show, and Aisle of Plenty. The album features the classic Genesis lineup: Phil Collins (drums, percussion, vocals), Mike Rutherford (12-string bass and electric sitar), Steve Hackett (electric and nylon guitars), Tony Banks (keyboards and 12-string guitar), and Peter Gabriel (vocals, flute, oboe, percussion). Produced by John Burns and Genesis, with engineering by Rhett Davies.

The magnificent cover painting was created by Betty Swanwick, whose elegant and surreal artwork perfectly reflects the album's themes of English culture, imagination, and nostalgia. Her distinctive style became inseparable from one of Genesis' greatest masterpieces.

As "The Cinema Show" plays, the video reveals the exposed sands of Ilha do Amor, graceful coconut trees, the deep blue sea stretching to the horizon, and a brilliant blue sky, creating a perfect visual companion to this timeless progressive rock classic.

🇺🇸 🇬🇧 "Flying," from Magical Mystery Tour, is a unique instrumental and the first Beatles composition officially credited to all four members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. While filming this post, I simply wanted to capture the beauty of the ocean. Then came an amazing coincidence: a helicopter suddenly appeared flying across the blue horizon. I quickly zoomed in and captured the moment perfectly. It felt as though the music had created its own soundtrack for the scene, making this unforgettable coincidence even more magical.

Beatles trivia that almost nobody knows: "Flying" was the first Beatles composition officially credited to all four members—Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr. Yonin Bayashi's Golden Picnics pays a stunning and heartfelt tribute to this instrumental masterpiece from Magical Mystery Tour. Their interpretation is absolutely beautiful. Originally released in Japan in 1976 and in an official Brazilian edition in 1977, this album was released only in Japan and Brazil, making these two original pressings highly prized by collectors. A hidden gem that every Beatles fan should know.
