Postcards from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 ❤️

I first came to Sri Lanka in the summer of 2018 for a two week trip for work. I then got offered a job for the winter and it’s been a love affair ever since. Almost 8 years of coming and going - it’s funny how a place can capture your heart and so effortlessly feel like home.

After covid I didn’t return for 3 years (between 2022 and 2025) and when @pizzadumplingscorn and @perpetualvagabond asked me to house/dog sit their place for 4 months I jumped on the opportunity (I mean, who wouldn’t!!)

Between the vibrant sunsets, the long mornings spent surfing, the rice and curry, this place always brings me back to myself. I’m sure time moves differently here and 5 months always feels like a lifetime (in the best way). Maybe it’s the ocean, the jungle, or the way this place makes it so easy to be present every day, to move at a slower pace.

Friends old and new, thank you everyone that made the last 5 months some of the best of my life. This country has a place in my heart forever.

Memories from Sri Lanka, Sept ‘25 - Feb ‘26 🙏🏻🌴🇱🇰✨

1. Loading film in Galle
2. After visiting the island for almost 8 years, I finally made it to A Bay for the first time !!
3. A great spot to catch the sunset on the south coast @hakuna_matata_ahangama
4. I wanted to show my friends @vickyvaisberg and @juhighjulow how crazy the buses are there, somehow we ended up on the tamest one?
5. Collecting roadside tax on the way to A Bay
6. I would like to be on that beach rn
7. Often spent time waiting here on the way to the surf
