Happy Tropical Tuesday! ☀️ Here’s hoping Florida trades this rain and flooding for some much-needed sunshine soon.

The flooding was intense enough to keep us stuck at home the last couple of days, but thankfully our house stayed safe and dry.

Sad to say, neighbors and businesses north of us weren’t so lucky. @anotherridesurfshop (who carries our organic cotton headbands) suffered shop flooding. Once conditions are safe, please swing by to support them—our local small businesses need us now more than ever!

Thank you to everyone for checking in on us. Stay safe out there, everyone! ☀️

Happy Tropical Tuesday!

May 12th to September 9th… That’s exactly how long it took from the moment the banana blossom first emerged to taking my very first bite!

Four full months of waiting for about two bites of homegrown sweetness. 😅

If gardening teaches you one thing, it’s patience. But I promise you, food never tastes better than when you’ve put the love, time, and work into growing it yourself!

Anyone else testing their patience in the garden lately?👇

Happy Tropical Tuesday! 🌴🐢

During a sunrise beach walk, I had the incredible experience of watching this beautiful sea turtle make its way home to the big, ocean blue.

If you want to see the full journey from the sand into the waves, go check out @salty.and.sunkissed edit from last week—it is so cute! 🌊✨ have you ever seen a baby sea turtle before ? Comment below 👇

A quick reminder for beach lovers: Sea turtles are a protected species. If you’re lucky enough to spot one on the sand, remember to keep a safe distance, never touch or disturb them, and keep lights low. Let’s protect our ocean friends so they can keep nesting safely! 🪸💙

Who says our seashell belts are just for brides? Here is my 91-year-old grandma absolutely rocking hers! Not only is she my biggest fan, but her epic vintage shell belt collection is the whole reason my newest line even exists. (Basically, she’s the CEO, I just do the heavy lifting.)

Want a Reel of her sharing the story behind her vintage collection and where she scored them all? Drop a comment below—if we get enough yeses, I’ll convince the legend herself to go on camera! 🎬👇

This simple white seashell belt is a classic favorite! While we feature them on our bridal dresses to create that perfect beach-bride look, they are designed to be worn long after your big day.

The best part? The waistband is completely interchangeable, so you can switch the sash to match any outfit, from an everyday sun dress to a formal gown. It’s a truly versatile piece of wearable art.

What kind of outfit would you pair this seashell belt with?

I could have followed this little guy into the ocean forever. 🥹🐢🌊 There’s something about watching a baby sea turtle make its way into the water and then disappear into that big blue ocean that makes you want to linger just a little longer. 💙

Would you have been able to stop watching, or would you have followed him as far as you could? 🐢

Those of you who know me well know I’ve always been a total warm-water snob. I didn’t even own a full wetsuit because if the water got cold here, I simply wasn’t getting in!

So heading to Ireland, I knew I had a hurdle to clear if I wanted to surf: brave the cold, pull on a full suit, and strap on the booties. I won’t pretend the first day was easy. Standing in the chilly air trying to wrangle myself into a thick wetsuit, all I could think was how much I missed a simple bikini in warm ocean water.

But the second I paddled out, all of that vanished. Surrounded by the breathtaking coastal landscape, floating in the sea, and laughing with my husband, It was totally worth it !

The ultimate reward came after: stripping off the rubber and heading into a cozy local pub for hot soup and fresh brown bread. Ireland definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, and it turns out cold-water surfing is more than worth it. Winter surfing back home in Florida? I’m ready for you.

Also P.S. for all the Ireland content this is how I am getting over the post travel blues. 😆
