My first @officialhday was not easy but it was rewarding. Let’s talk about it. Friday bright and early we head to the track and start getting ready. I make a test hit to get my feet wet after not driving the car for about 6 months and the car goes A to B well, I’ve got a few changes to make as I’m trying some new things out. Now it’s time for Q1 and I hit all my shift lights top of 4th gear I hear the motor let go. I go to the pits frustrated but ready for the decision I know I’m going to make. I start taking my car apart ready for the engine to come out. I look next to me and @jmarsh11 is doing the same the difference I have a spare motor ready to be he does not. We both call it quits around 1:30am. Saturday morning 7am back at the track to finish the swap: I make it to Q2 with seconds to spare and everything is good to go. I get back to the pits and @jmarsh11 and @finaldriveracing are still working away… but I’ll let Jamie tell that story… I could’ve quit and packed up, saved myself the stress and headache of swapping my motor but I can’t do that. I’ve watched my friends do much harder things at the track with a lot more on the line. I didn’t go a PB, I didn’t break a record, but I proved something to myself anything is possible. As I work through small issues with the car this will stay on my mind and it was a great lesson learned early on Huge thank you to @jmarsh11 @sonic203 @finaldriveracing @type_r_jose @cachoawd413 @keviinelduro__ @twostepmotorsports @aglanraceworkss @frank_so_tatted for all the help and support #marshtuning #eghatch #racecar #hday #whoshotya by @ishootyou
