Ishtara is a method for transforming the way you feel, act, and relate from the body up. Become your own healer in Ishtara Body Alchemy.

If you change it in your body, it changes in your life. . . .

You feel your emotions in your body. You love with your body. You connect with your body. You see the world with your body. You know yourself in your body.

If you want to transform in any area, we invite you to bring it your body.

Your body is the source of your emotions, your memories, your patterns, your desires, your psychology, your thoughts, and your life. We teach you to transform any of these things with movement.

The practice is moving mediation. It is a practice of following your body and releasing your emotions. It is a way to reset deep nervous system patterns and break free in a real and lasting way.

It is new to a lot of people to work in this way. We offer free introductions to answer your questions and give you information about our 6-week course called Ishtara Body Alchemy.

If it hurts, the remedy is love.

Everything wants to come home in us
All the dark parts and the unloved parts
The neglected and abandoned parts
The unwanted, the ugly and the rejected parts
Everything we turned away from
Because we had to

Everything we still carry around
Secretly or openly
The past always knocking on present’s door
To be welcomed home
Into our loving embrace
Into our open heart

But we turn it away, again and again,
No, we say, not now, I’m trying to meditate
I’m trying to heal, to be spiritual,
I’m trying to be happy or loving
Or I’m trying to hold on to my stories
Because I’m afraid of who I will be
If I let them all go

And so we turn away from
The very thing that can bring us some peace

Open so wide everything gets to come home
Just that one thing can change absolutely everything.

For all those dancing with grief today. Your body is here for you. by @ishtarabody

-Rumi. We danced in our temple today sending our love through our atoms to all who are in the loss and rupture - including people, nature, animals, and the earth. She - our body, our bodies’ home, our mother, hurts and so we hurt - because we all share our connection through the fabric of atoms. by @ishtarabody

We have come to be danced.

For teaching us to meet every pattern in our nervous systems with gratitude; every memory in our bones with trust; every chapter of our stories with compassion; every sliver of our souls with love.

For being the light in darkness who shines our way back home - to ourselves, to the deep remembering of who we are and the magic we have always been. For being the compass who guides us each to sacred sisterhood.

For unearthing truth that had long been buried, that to be danced by life, to revel in the both the rupture and the rapture, is our greatest adventure.

For trusting these 10 hearts to share this work with others.

To become teachers of this beloved practice is a privilege. We bow.

Sending you love tonight. by @ishtarabody

I spent years trying to fix myself and get rid of the parts of me that I saw as the problem. It was when I learned to love the parts of myself who were hurting that I healed.

In Ishtara, we practice bringing love to all parts of ourselves in a way we can feel in our body - in breath, in touch, and in pleasurable movement.

Love is the alchemy that transforms any pain into who you truly are . . . love. by @ishtarabody

Loss is a doorway into love. I am grieving the loss of my dad. I did this dance to honor him and me in a movement ritual. I turn to movement to help me feel my feelings honestly and completely. And I practice body alchemy to bring love to my feelings in a way I can sense . . .

Loss is a deep call for love that comes from deep in our body. And our body understands love only as something she can feel.

Love as breath.
Love as touch.
Love as sound . . . the violins, the piano, the voice.

As I move loss in my body and bring love in a way I can feel, I feel whole and open and strong.

I practice Ishtara - a movement method of alchemy that transforms me into my highest possibility in any moment.

The fastest way I know to heal my hurt is in my body.

If I am hurting, my brain looks for ways to anticipate more problems. I go around and around in my head. And the things I am thinking of most always make me feel worse.

I found a way to move with my feelings and bring them to my body. My body is a genius (so is yours) who knows how to process my emotions in minutes.

In Ishtara, we use a two step method that allows your body to speak about what you are feeling through her language - emotion + movement - and bring in a new state through an embodied form of love we call Body Alchemy.

The secret to manifesting your desires lives in your body. Your body creates your reality primarily through the patterns that are in your nervous system.

So, for example, if you are repeating patterns in your relationship to love or money, it is because you have a pattern stored in your nervous system that is repeating in your life.

The most powerful and rapid way to create a new pattern is to release the blocks to your desire that are stored in your body.

The body is so wise - she put pain and pleasure in the same place. Both pain and pleasure regulate dopamine which is the hormone that moves you to action. Your body will reward you with pleasure and more dopamine when you make efforts that are life giving so that you do more of those things. Often those are the same things that take a little pain at first to do - but the pleasure is long lasting.

The body know that too much pleasure without effort comes from things that can hurt us - sure it feels good at first to relax on the couch, eat sugar, and scroll on the phone - but too much and the body will create pain -

The secret to feeling more pleasure that lasts is to be willing to do the things that are good for us but that may create a bit of pain at first -
