🥈🥈 Double silver today! First BJJ tournament, and I walked away with 2nd place in both Gi and No-Gi.

The Gi finals came down to the last 10 seconds, and that’s where the gold slipped away. It stings because I was so close, but that’s what competition is all about—learning, growing, and coming back stronger.

Today wasn’t just about medals. It was about gaining experience, testing myself, and seeing what I need to work on. This is only the beginning, and I’ll be back.

Thank you to my coaches, teammates, and everyone who supported me. The journey continues. 💪🥋

The journey hasn’t always been a straight line.

I started Taekwondo at 5, then switched to kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 6. I didn’t love Jiu-Jitsu at first, and I even took a year away from it.

Now at 9, Jiu-Jitsu has become my passion. Funny how the thing I once walked away from is now what I can’t wait to train every day.

1% better every day. 🥋🤙

One of my son’s favorite jiu-jitsu creators inspired this photo. Moments like these remind me that jiu-jitsu is about more than learning to defend yourself—it’s about building confidence, making great friends, and being part of an amazing community.

Another great week at Cobrinha ! This week we worked on wrestling, armbars, and becoming more comfortable on the back. Proud of the progress and growth each week. Big thanks to @tyiscoolbeans for all the guidance and support! 🥋💪

This week I’ve been working on my guard game and single-leg takedowns straight into armbars. It’s been challenging stepping away from my usual game, but that’s where growth happens. 🥋⚔️

⚔️ Sharpening the sword for battle. Today was a double-session day—putting in work at Alliance Jiu-Jitsu and then hitting the mats for wrestling at Assassin’s Grappling Academy. Every drill, every rep, and every round is another step toward improvement. The mat is our battleground, and preparation happens long before competition day.

Sweep it. Counter it. Escape it. This week we worked both sides of the game—tripod sweeps, sweep defenses, and guard escapes.🔥🥋#CobrinhaAlliance #AllianceJiuJitsu #KidsBJJ #YouthGrappling #WrestlingForBJJ by @isitcoolornot

Every great takedown starts long before match day. Today’s focus was level changes, penetration steps, and committing to the shot. Reps turn hesitation into confidence, and confidence turns opportunities into points. One shot at a time, one day at a time—1% better every day.
