things that can be wrapped up:
a month, twice, in a recap reel, when you've forgotten that july has 31 days and not just 30. a burrito. a phone call you've been dodging. a body you're finally getting round to mending. some threads at work, tied off or just handed over, depending on the day. the planet, apparently, given how it's been behaving. a friendship as well: shane macgowan in a willow coffin, glen hansard singing him out, the whole room crying and dancing right next to them. i've watched the youtube video of it dozens of times during the last two and a half years. that's the bar now, tbh, and i hope they'll sing and dance at glen's funeral too. (didn't think this month would end on a melodramatic caption, but here we are.)

i've been gathering ideas for a social storytelling workshop for youths this week, thinking: does life have a plot? (yeah, big question.) it definitely has an asparagus season. it has a concert where 20.000 people sway to the same song without knowing each other. it has small paper cranes and large mirror balls and anemia and ivy that doesn't know it's being watched. and isn't that something, ha!
