Hiring a support, asking for a help can feel like giving up control.

You start thinking:
"What if I have to explain everything?"
"What if they don't understand how I work?"
"What if I choose the wrong person?"

And those concerns are valid.
A good delegation doesn't have to start with handing over everything at once.

Try:
Start small.
Have the conversation.
Set clear expectations.
See how they think and communicate and build trust from there.

The goal isn't just to find someone who can do the tasks but to find someone you can trust with the tasks in the long run. My mentor once said, it's like finding a romantic partner ... Haha but I promise it's actually easier than that.

Let's admit ... delegating or giving up something to someone is about trusting someone with the business you've worked so hard to build.

Discovery calls, interviews, etc are just a chance for both of us to ask questions, understand how we work, and see if we're the right fit. Some would prepare simple assignments before the talk.

The goal isn't to rush into working together. It's to build the kind of trust that makes delegation feel easy.
