Let’s go! This summer, ISKRA and Bestand are joining forces to organise an open-air gathering on Danube Island on 31 July. The two collectives are combining their experimental, bass-driven, dancefloor-oriented sound approaches with their socio-political and solidarity-based ideas about community building to create a uniquely curated event next to the Danube.

The event has been co-developed with our dear friends from @spice_mixers — because, why not!

Line-up:
_Olgica
_call me daddy
_Vanja Rakić
_KHXDEEJ
_Hermeneia
_মm.
_____
Olgica is a Serbia born, Austria/Graz based DJ and promoter. Her DJ sets combine intuitive selection with patience and awareness to create hours of immersive soundscapes to dance to; sometimes slow, sometimes fast - always a journey.

call me daddy is a DJ from Brazil, currently based in Vienna. Her music selection represents the contrasts she carries in her background, resulting in mixes that blend a constellation of music genres with regional sounds and rhythms.

Vanja Rakić is an Amsterdam-based designer, visual artist and DJ. His sets span from oppressive drones to elements of dubstep, breakcore, and punk electronics; from morphing rhythms to somber lullabies.

KHXDEEJ is a Goa-based DJ whose work grows out of a genuine curiosity for sound. Drawn to off-centre rhythms, dub-leaning ideas, and the subtle tension that sits between genres.

Hermeneia is a Warsaw-based DJ and vocalist, and the founder of Radio Lola and FURDA event series. Her sets weave together old-school dancehall, dub, contemporary halftime heavy-hitters, and hazy illbient textures.

মm. (read: mwo, just like the bangla alphabet) is a DJ, curator and community organizer based in Dhaka & Vienna. They play with percussions, rhythms, bass, and drama to tease out experiences of time and energies.

✨ISKRA x Bestand 🫂

✨ ISKRA

ISKRA is a non-profit association from Serbia behind the ISKRA Weekender – a small independent festival, a gathering shaped around music, art, and warm community. At its core, Iskra's mission is to connect the Serbian and wider Balkan scene with artists, collectives and listeners from across Europe, fostering exchange, collaboration and learning in both directions. Iskra combines intuitive music selections to create hours of immersive soundscapes to dance to; sometimes slow, sometimes fast - always a journey.

💫 Bestand

Founded in 2020, Bestand is an arts and culture initiative that develops various events within Vienna’s music scene. Its activities are based on experimental, do-it-yourself (DIY) approaches and seek to implement a variety of formats and concepts. A central aim of Bestand is to facilitate pluralistic processes centred on sound, noise and community building, making these accessible through music related events. Bestand seeks to create spaces for encounters to reflect on social developments and to broaden perspectives.

For updates to the event, make sure to follow the collectives on their socials:

Already next week 🍃 ISKRA welcomes these two outstanding artists

Dave Huismans (ex_libris, In Transit - fka A Made Up Sound, 2562) is responsible for some of this century’s most notorious rhythmic advances, part of an influential body of work still resonating amongst the electronic music landscape today.
After a long hiatus, he made an emphatic return in 2025 as ex_libris. Its first two installments, presented a new iteration to Dave’s sound; a wonderfully immersive strand of leftfield house and off-the-grid grooves, resulting in some of his most beloved work yet.
His following venture was arguably his most surprising to date, a mini LP as In Transit for Fergus Jones’ FELT that’s been many years in the making. Containing a self-titled set of arresting downtempo vignettes, it’s an absorbing piece of music tangential to his previous work and significantly more experimental in nature.

Miloš Pavlović, known as Regen, is a Belgrade - Berlin based DJ and producer whose passion for electronic music began in early childhood, shaped by breakdance culture and formal classical music training from age seven. He built his vinyl collection during trips abroad in the '90s and started DJing in 1997, quickly earning residencies at Belgrade's iconic underground clubs Omen and Industrija.
Since his debut release in 2006, he has put out music on labels around the world, staying rooted in the traditional techno values of the '90s. Today, he hosts the genre-fluid radio show "autofiction," with 2026 marking the 30th anniversary of his dedication to DJing.

There won't be presale , limited tickets on the doors - 1600RSD

See you at the first open air party of the season 🍃

Hi Everyone,

After a little break, ISKRA is happy to announce the next and the last one before the Weekender in August with

Dave Huismans @dave_huismans (fka A Made Up Sound, 2562)
who is responsible for some of this century’s most
notorious rhythmic advances, part of an influential body of work still resonating amongst the electronic music landscape today.
After a long hiatus, he made an emphatic return in 2025 as ex_libris. Its first two installments presented a new iteration to Dave’s sound; a wonderfully immersive strand of leftfield house and off-the-grid grooves, resulting in some of his most beloved work yet.

Containing a self-titled set of arresting downtempo vignettes, it’s an absorbing piece of music tangential to his previous work and significantly more experimental in nature. Both new aliases have marked a fascinating development to his already sprawling catalogue, continuing his singular sound with remarkable new expressions.

Miloš Pavlović AKA Regen, Olgica and Paul Junk are rounding off the lineup.

We are starting early with a daytime listening session supported by
@sutra.club crew and  talented @rif_erous.

More info soon

This Thursday a deep dive with @anymodal LIVE

Anymodal is the alter ego of Siberia-born producer and composer Evgeniy Pisarchenko, raised amid an ascetic and rough northern suburbia. Seamlessly blending ambient tranquility with hectic breaks, braindance, and deep bass, he crafts sonic journeys that are both adventurous and meditative.

With a cosmopolitan outlook, his performances range from the Moroccan Sahara (LPM Festival, 2024) to Hong Kong (Mihn Club), drawing inspiration from Istanbul’s vibrant underground scene where he has long been an active contributor. His authentic, laptop-free live sets—defined by expressive gear operation—have earned him residencies on platforms like UK-based Subtle Radio and Istanbul’s renowned Noh Radio, alongside appearances at notable venues including Mihn Club (Hong Kong), Drugstore (Belgrade), Şahika, Arkaoda (Istanbul), and Bult (Almaty), as well as recent Stihia festival (Uzbekistan).
Primarily focused on live performance, Anymodal has recently expanded into music releases on Geometric Corruption (Casablanca), Judder (Moscow), Porog (Siberia)
