Most of our linen sheers can now be printed in two weeks. Specify today, hang next month.

I know lead times are one of the hardest parts of specifying fabric, so this is something I’m really pleased to offer.

Two designs take a little longer, so do ask before you specify.

Samples of Petite Dot Trio linen are also available again, in Clay and Faded Blue, and it’s one of the two-week designs.

This old Thing!

I rarely part with clothes, because I love them so much. Proof that good things you never tire of.

Embroidered 1950s cardigan, I’ve owned since 1999, it came from Steinberg & Tolkein on the Kings Road, which was my student Saturday job ( SUCH a GREAT job).
I’ve had it for 27 years, it must be at least 75 years old at a guess. It’s somewhat shrunken, but I like a cropped cardie, because I’m petite.

Knickerbox silk slip I’ve owned it since 1997, and I bought it from Knickerbox in Bath - GOD I ADORED Knickerbox! Nightie, camisole, or just with a beaded cardi. I’ve had it for 29 years. The ladder stitching is timeless and the silk is lovely quality.

I was a guest on @alexandralangdonltd The Insider podcast — and we ended up chatting about my mum’s sofa.
.
It’s been reupholstered in the same William Morris fabric twice in 48 years. It was an excellent childhood life lesson in what it means for a design to stand the test of time — and honestly, the best illustration of how I design today: for timeless decades, not trends.
