Last night I lay in the grass outside my house and was joined by my neighbor cats O’Malley and Moon. Harriet brought out our cat Fern and the five of us relaxed in the quiet calm under our tree, my favorite tree. I’m so grateful I get to live in the shadow of this oak, and among cats and kids who want to be here too. by @islandcatch

Leaving my new Birkenstocks at the door of my aesthetician’s office is the Boulder equivalent of Carrie Bradshaw leaving her Manolo Blahniks at the door of that kid’s birthday party.

We got home from a few days away and there was a crit happening right in our neighborhood! Harriet and I walked over to check it out and it turned into the best night.
We saw so many friends (some Ive known for 20 years!) and neighbors cheering on the race.
🏆Harriet and Will Dugan crowd funded for a prime to mix up the race and collected $275 for the winner!💰
Dave Towle is an encyclopedia of US cycling development, and really encouraging of young folks new to the scene. I didn’t know a single person racing, but it was still so exciting and really fun to watch.

Maine, I love you.
I wish you weren’t so far and hard to get to, but maybe that’s part of the joy.
I barely made it into Acadia, but I did go to Pop Thrift, the remote DIY thrift store in an old barn, 3 times. And ate lots of fresh strawberries, carrots, baked goods and ice cream. And saw great friends and their great kids, and spent time with family. All around A+ and the best. taken in Maine by @islandcatch
