Hair holds so much energy! The grief, the trauma, the versions of us we’re done carrying. A friend told me not too long ago, she chopped her hair after something traumatic happened.

I just did the same today — 9 inches of last year, gone!!! Releasing. Shedding. Starting fresh. Bro would’ve cried. I tried this once before, in a way... But he would’ve understood this time.

He always got me...This is healing 🤍

Although we will never understand his plans we are thankful that he gives us strength and peace during these hard times. These last 6 months have shaped us in ways that we would never imagine, we see him everywhere & we’re so thankful for the signs he continues to send us 🦋

Grief has a way of softening you, it teaches you to slow down to be where your feet are, to savor the little moments you once rushed past, to open your heart wider cause now you understand how sacred and fragile life really is. And somehow even through the ache, LOVE keeps us together forever, just in a different way now 🫶

Love this ~ Spanish conquistadors saw it as a symbol of the Passion of Christ. Its unique structure is said that the five stamens represent Christ’s wounds, the five petals and five sepals are representative of the disciples (minus Judas and Peter) and the corona signifies the Crown of Thorns ✝️

Last year, I met the most broken part of my heart—the part I was terrified to ever face.

Taking care of my brother was one of the greatest honors of my life, and also one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Being there with him, watching him fight for his life, and feeling so helpless because I couldn’t take his pain away changed me forever.

Through it all, he made me stronger. And because of him, I’m choosing to take care of myself—because that’s what he asked of me. He never asked me for anything… but in his final days, he said, Sis please take care of yourself, because he never wanted me—or anyone else—to go through what he went through.

He is my true-life superhero. For the rest of my days, I will honor him by taking care of myself, speaking up for myself, and living life fully—like each day is my last—because none of us truly know when our time is up. 🤍

Merry Christmas to everyone — hope your day is filled with love, laughter, and all the good things that make this season special.

Missing my bro a little extra today!! Christmas was his holiday — we always waited to see his new Christmas outfit and fresh sneex. He loved this time of year because family meant everything to him. He used to joke that as the years went on, "Cousins Weekend" slowly turned into “Cousins Day” 😂 and honestly… he wasn’t wrong.
