💫 Beginner Hand-Building Classes with Kayley Holderness. Kayley is a Ceramic Artist with over 20 years’ experience working with clay - the last 12 of those spent running Islington Pottery Workshops and developing her own practice 🌟

£80 per person for a four-hour Saturday session in Islington, London, N7 0SF.

These sessions are designed to give a good understanding of basic hand-building and decorating techniques. Make with a range of different clays, experiment with exciting textures and colourful surface decoration.

Just a lil’ studio shot yesterday before packing these babies up for ‘A Seat At The Table’ at Decorex in just over a week’s time. So excited to see them as part of the display there.

Thank you @aevencollective for selecting my work for the showcase.

From the moment these forms were created they danced together. Of all the work I have made, this is my favourite.

I often call my collections ‘families’ and this family is a true representation of mine: connected and joyful.

‘Embrace’ was shown at @collectartfair in February 2026 as part of the @societyofdesignercraftsmen_sdc’s ‘Uncommon Ground’ showcase.

Every line, every curve, every edge, every detail… each one deliberate and so carefully considered. Nothing is left to chance when I build my work.
