#Skinimalism or skin minimalism is the latest trend taking over the beauty industry.

While the focus is around your face and feeling comfortable and beautiful in your own skin without using mass amounts of makeup, we believe this applies to the whole body as well. From your hair down to your toes and even the food you eat. "Less is more" is an important approach to our overall health.

Why do we feel the need to overdo everything? The makeup, skincare and food industry in the United States is set up so that we buy buy buy and many times the items we are buying aren't necessary and are filled with chemicals and toxins we certainly don't need.

How much makeup do you have? Aside from going to a wedding or a special event, is there really a need to cake on mass amounts of makeup? How many skincare products do you use? We all enjoy a day at the spa where we are pampered with multiple layers of skincare but it's not something our skin needs daily. How many ingredients are in the food you eat? Have you ever looked at the ingredients when grocery shopping rather than focusing on the nutrition facts? I think you would be surprised. Our bodies can't process or break down all of those additives. by @isolabody

World Vegan Day 🐰

Just how "vegan" are you? Whether you live a vegan lifestyle to its fullest - i.e. not only eat vegan but also won't buy anything that has leather etc., or you eat completely plant based (vegan) or you do neither, I can imagine that most of us (vegan or not) don't want to hurt or kill any animals over our skincare routines.

At Isola, we never, and will never, harm any animals in the process of our testing. Why? Well because we can easily and safely use humans. We use pure, natural ingredients that we are proud of. We believe less is more which makes most of our ingredient lists very short and easy to pronounce.

Better yet, in the 10+ years of our existence, we have never had one complaint that any of our products have caused any skin reactions. Yay!

Today is World Vegan Day and we want to recognize everyone making efforts (whether daily or simply here and there) to make conscious decisions when it comes to saving animals and saving the planet 🌎
