I wanted to make this post to not only commemorate a few of my favorite shots of 2025, but also to give thanks to the people and the year that helped give rise to this new phase of my life. To say that I’d been “doing photography” since I was a kid would be extremely generous. My father had done photography on and off for as long as I can remember and I started in middle school photography class... for a few months. This would begin a long period of multi-year gaps between taking 10 to 20 shots or so. And by “multi-year” I mean about half a decade every time. Not exactly driven, inspired, or committed. Most of my focus went to academics, music and general life-turbulence. However, August 2025 would mark a change in mentality for me that finally made art or hobbyism of any kind finally feel accessible. Being plagued by perfectionistic tendencies had even the slightest step towards developing any skill feel monumental because it was like seeing every future failure and struggle all at once while being bombarded with the success and talent of others whose abilities looked entirely beyond me. It didn’t matter if whatever it was that they did abided by an objective scale of “good” or “bad.” This changed for me when I felt the compulsion to just do it. No particular reason, not aiming towards any objective or trying to emulate the style of any particular artist. I was definitely encouraged by the works of Olga Karlovac and Trent Parke, but it was really more something that pushed me to try it rather than some artistic or philosophical “North Star.” I just decided that I wouldn’t approach photography how I had with anything else I tried my hand at. I would just do the thing, look at what I took, and if I thought it looked cool, that was that. I’m very happy to say that not only do I like my own work for what it is, but l’ve actually received a lot of positive attention from other artists as well as people I’m close to. I’m extremely grateful to every single person who has given me a kind word or payed me any interest. These are some of my favorite photos from the year that started all this. Alright so I wanted to break things up with a different sort of shot than what I’ve done before. While I was walking around Philly I saw this group of skaters doing their thing next to a sculpture in Philly. I decided to sit on a bench and snap a few shots. I probably wouldn’t have gone for it usually, but my homie @cas.wyc has a deep appreciation for skateboarding photography so I decided to try with the limited time I had. Hope you enjoy #skate #skateboard #photographer #canon #sportsphotograpy by @iss_ur_boy_m

Finally!!! So, I went on a trip to Philly with my girlfriend earlier this month and decided not to pass up the opportunity to bring my camera. I almost never leave NYC so I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s honestly a beautiful city. Incredible architecture, so many pops of color, and lots of artistic quirk. Being born and raised New York it’s easy to cringe at the oversimplifications that come with being a tourist, but all things considered I really loved exploring around and visiting these places. I also have a certain amount of love for the city with it being the home of so many of my most cherished musicians. I literally went slack-jawed when I saw a street sign that read “Avenue Of The Roots” lol. Anyway, I came back with tons of shots so I’ll be showing y’all what I saw in Philly for a while. I hope I did the city some justice in my own way. Much love 🫶🏽 Canon Rebel T3 📸 by @iss_ur_boy_m

It’s been so long since my last post! I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus from my work while I focus on my personal life. I’m excited to knock the rust off and get back into the swing of things. As always, thank you to anyone who has supported me or even given what I make a look. I’m extremely grateful and I’m happy to be back. Digital Canon 90D 18-55 mm by @iss_ur_boy_m
