All you need is a fork! I don’t usually post tutorials or reels, but a few weeks ago I did a show and tell at a cosplay event and when I mentioned to the crowd I used a fork to pleat my skirt on my cosplay, I had people intrigued. I’ve done this for years so I don’t recall where I learned it (most likely youtube) or who recommended trying this, but I do know that this is an “old-trusty” method of making knife pleats and have made a plethora of skirts and trims in my decade plus cosplay career using this fork method!

Disclaimer: this is meant for beginner sewists/cosplayers, I didn’t do methodical measurements like I normally do, this was just purely a “this is just an example of how to use tool” type of video, so please forgive the sporadic measurements and lopsided pleating 😂

“If Cater were here, I’m sure he’d constantly be pulling out his smart phone. I can just picture him now, taking dozens of pictures of the Bell of Salvation from all sorts of different angles.”

Speaking of all sorts of different angles, got some really sick shots back from my friend @bless_n_stress from Kawaii Kon this past weekend! I’m really loving how he captured all the details in my cosplay that I made over 3 years ago!!
