We are excited to say the IsshoCon 2027 Room Block is officially now live!

We are also happy to announce the hotel has offered to allow attendees to request rooms that are located further away from Main Events. This way if you prefer a quieter room, you can have peace of mind through the weekend! Please contact the hotel directly to book, or after you book to ensure you get the room you prefer!

The cut off date for the room block is Wednesday, December 30th, 2026! After this date, the room block will close. We ask that if you must cancel your reservation to do so before this date. This makes the process much easier for both the hotel and the convention side of things!

If you must cancel after this date, please visit the room/ ride share channel on our Discord channel to allow another attendee to take over your reservation. Once the block closes, there is no guarantee attendees will have access to get a room through the official room block.

If you are interested in getting a room for IsshoCon 2027 you can book directly through our website, or you can book through the official room block link in our bio!

You may also make a call to the hotel and book your room directly under the IsshoCon 2027 Room Block. Remember to read all hotel policies and procedures before booking! This includes check-in incidentals, early departure fees, and parking info.

We look forward to seeing you all in January! More announcements to come! 👀 by @isshocon

Hello everyone, Angelo here!

As you all know, IsshoCon started as a small one day event that was put on in a middle school gym. Our small business Otaku Detroit has always been the heart behind IsshoCon and our mission to continue to provide a safe space to our diverse community.

As of this month, we would have been open for almost 7 years! The support you all have shown us over the years has made our hearts full more than we can even explain. Seeing your smiling faces walking in and constantly showing up for us, especially when we needed it most, are memories we will never forget. Sadly, we had to close our doors due to financial burden and IsshoCon's soaring demands. While it is sad, we believe that our main focus was IsshoCon for the foreseeable future to make sure we can be another staple Michigan anime convention you all value attending.

We wanted to make sure we funnel all the love you have showed us into IsshoCon to continue to provide you all with an exciting and safe space to be yourselves and showcase your talent. Being a black and queer owned business is not easy, but the love that we consistently receive is what continues us to push forward and be a light to you all.

As a thank you for your continued support, I want to offer you all a discount on all badges for IsshoCon 2027, the Circus Spectacular!

Use promo code "OTAKU" to save 20% on all badges types on the official IsshoCon website.

Again, I can't thank you all enough for the continued love and support y'all show us. We love you all and can't wait to see you all in January! ❤️ by @isshocon
