Incredibly grateful to have attended the 79th @festivaldecannes last week x a truly special few days, so many beautiful films in this years selection and so many added to the watchlist…and i got to see Lukas Dhont🤭x highlights included attending the press conferences for (as mentioned) Lukas Dhont’s Coward and Emmanuel Marre’s Notre Salut. There were so many films I loved but a standout was easily La Bola Negra by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi. I was also especially grateful to have the chance to see the winning short film, For The Opponents by Federico Luis Tachella, among the work of so many talented filmmakers. #cannes #cannesfilmfestival #film taken in Palais des Festivals, Cannes by @issycfilms

Celebrating nine months at Carnival Films!💫 I can’t quite believe I’m over halfway through my time as a Development Intern at Carnival Films. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience supporting the scripted development team, and yes, I’ve read a LOT of scripts along the way! I’m especially grateful to my manager, Claire, and our Development Coordinator, En-Yu Li, for their constant guidance and support, not just in the role, but also in helping me settle into London, which was completely new to me. A special thank you also goes to Lili Cooper, for always thinking of me when opportunities arose and for being so generous with her time and knowledge. What I love most about my role is the opportunity to read widely and explore new ideas. A core part of my week involves writing coverage on incoming scripts, books, and pitches, as well as conducting research for projects in development. It is a real pleasure to contribute, and I’m grateful to say I get to do it all the time. Two major recent milestones for me were attending and taking notes during a writers’ room for one of our projects in development, a day I’m still not over, as well as being part of the DAY OF THE JACKAL S2 shoot, where I was able to work as a Runner, assist the production team, and even do a bit of scheduling for our Line Producer! Alongside this, as part of my internship with NBCUniversal, I’ve participated in fundraising for The King’s Trust, where I lead two company-wide headshot events and attended the Million Makers Gala 2025 with Team Universal. And to top it all off, celebrating the end of the year at the NBCUniversal Christmas party at the Natural History Museum was unforgettable. It’s been a huge year for me, relocating from Bournemouth to London after graduating from Arts University Bournemouth and starting fresh in a new city. 💚Million Makers Gala 🩷 So pleased to have been part of this fantastic event! As part of the Million Makers team for 2025 (behind the scenes of my internship) I’ve been helping fundraise for the King’s Trust Foundation - a charity that supports disadvantaged young people in finding their first jobs and building skills for employment. None of it would have been possible without our incredibly hard-working team and mentors, who I’m so grateful to have met through this initiative. A special shout-out to our fantastic organisers and leads, Mia Miles and Sofia Alvarez Ulate, whose beautiful ideas really sold the night. News piece for Arts University Bournemouth! Time Between Us (2024), a short film I wrote and directed has now been screened at over 25 film festivals and events nationwide. Feeling incredibly grateful to see Time Between Us featured by @inspiredaub, and to watch the film continue to connect with audiences and festivals alike. What began as a deeply personal story has now taken on a life of its own, and I’m proud of the recognition it’s received so far. A huge thank you to everyone who helped me bring this project to life - your talent, time, and belief in the film means the world. It’s exciting (and surreal!) to see something we made out of nothing on bigger screens with external audiences, a dream of mine, I’m glad we were able to accomplish together. All That’s Left Stills from a new upcoming project. Crowdfunder is now live, link in bio. Synopsis: A woman revisits the place where she was left by her mother as a child. Returning to the past through flashbacks, ‘May’ relives bittersweet memories through her mother’s clothes, still hanging on the washing line, waiting to be returned to. Looking back at her painful past, she tries to understand why her mother left and find peace with her absence in both timelines. We are also incredibly pleased to be supported by @crewstudiouk and @aputure.europe with the latest lighting fixtures for the project. Awarded 1st Place Best in Brief and 3rd Overall at Kodak/NAHEMI Student Commerical Awards 2025! Last year I had the opportunity to pitch an idea for my own Xbox commercial called This One First. More than 60 films were submitted by 20 film schools nationwide through NAHEMI National Association for Higher Education in the Moving Image. It was a truly rewarding experience taking part in the competition and placing 3rd place overall, and winning 1st Place for the Xbox Advertisement Category. The advertisement follows a father with Parkinson’s Disease who reconnects with his younger daughter through Xbox’s Adaptive Controller. For this project we were given a brief from McCann with requirements to channel inclusivity and connection, as well as the 30-second advertisement being shot entirely on 16mm Kodak Film. We had such an amazing time at @sunrisefilmfest 2025, I couldn’t be prouder of the team and what this film has achieved. Time Between Us was nominated for 3 categories and came home with the Best UK Student Short Award and Special Recognition Award. 🏆 This was a great event to be part of with such talented entries in each category, it was an honour to have our film screened here at a BIFA qualifying festival. Last month, we wrapped our graduation short film Milk Candies! Working as Location/Post Sound HOD on this film was such a valuable experience, alongside an incredibly talented crew. The film follows Tyler, revisiting his childhood memories. After his family’s Chinese supermarket closes and his departure looms, Tyler is forced to re-evaluate his closest relationship.
