His way is so much better than mine.

It can sound cliché—like just another Christian thing to say—but it’s one of the most valuable things we can learn.

It’s also one of the hardest.

We can say it, but do we mean it?
We can sing about it, but does our heart really reflect it?

Are we really willing to let go and follow Him?

I think it’s easy to believe that letting go means life won't be as enjoyable. But that’s not what surrender is. It’s about trusting that His way is better than ours, even when we don't understand it.

Living this out is a journey, and I’m so grateful for His grace and mercy because there’s no way we can do it perfectly. If you find yourself struggling to live this out or unsure how to, you aren’t alone.

This song has been helping me let go lately, and this lyric in particular has cut deep.

I really don’t have much to say about 2025 other than this.

that He who promised is truly faithful. in every storm, in every valley, on every mountain top.

in every circumstance that goes in our favor or doesn’t. He is faithful. He is the prize. He is our portion. truly nothing else satisfies.

i’ve learned to be grateful for the storms, for they have tested my faith and taught me to let go of what I can’t control.

i’ve learned to love the still and quiet moments, because I used to thrive off of the rush in life

i’ve learned that maybe there really are limits to what you can do, and you just have to trust God’s sovereignty

i’ve learned that it’s okay to not have everything planned, because doesn’t He already have plans for us anyway?

but in all of it, He has proved faithful and worthy

if your year didn’t end as you hoped or expected, keep holding on friend. joy comes in the morning.
