RAGBRAI 2026 in the books. A blast as always, logistically complicated but worth it. Two days bagging with Dan to ride west meeting the route, two days on the route, and one day back to Cedar Rapids. Got an afternoon to ride with Cole as well, got far enough off route that people thought we were lost and had the woman who gave us a ride texting me to "Get your butts to Dyersville " 😂 Met my wife at the airport long enough to say hi and bye, now magically she's in Iowa and I'm back in Colorado. Got to catch up with old friends, make some new ones, and have a long week of bikes and fun.

Thanks Dan for prompting the bag trip, bus driver Erik and support driver Alan, Team WASP organizers, everyone that helped with overnights, those who hosted in a town or on the route. Also thanks @nick_blackburn_co for loaning me panniers!

Special thanks to @drakecycles for helping bring my old bike back to life with new drivetrain, shifters, wheels and tires. She rode great!

San Juan River. Named my new boat Juanita, saw some beautiful and ancient things, laughed a lot with friends, ate well, slept well, all thanks to canyon water therapy. Thankful. taken in San Juan River by @isukendall

Ireland.

Had a great week exploring the countryside, not getting into a car accident, exploring back rooms of pubs, Guinness and delicious food, fun music, and funner people. And Cyclones won!! Five stars. by @isukendall

Iceland. The land of fire and ice.

No pictures, but the highlight day was when we rafted an arctic glacier-fed river, jumped off of a 30 ft cliff into the river (me, not Katy), hot tubbed overlooking a beautiful farm, had an incredible but expensive meal, and saw maybe the coolest waterfall on earth.

Conversation with rental car shuttle driver:

Driver: You came at a good time. Never come to Iceland in January. The day is only two hours long, the wind blows, it snows, and you could be stranded for a week. Even in the spring and fall, the weather is very bad.
Me: We say in Colorado that there is no bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.
Driver: Actually this is not true. If you have the best clothing made in the world it will still soak you to the bone and you will be very cold. It is terrible.

#FoCoMX2025 was a success. Noted 19 bands in 2 days, not counting all the others filling my ears between venues. Spent great times with friends. Thank you so much @focomx , all the venues in town, sponsors, volunteers, bands, and concertgoers helping to make this the best weekend of the year.

Saturday was a highlight night. @theriverarkansas melted part of my soul with their set. @rootbeerrichieandthereveille tore the roof off of @aggietheatre . @jc_taxidriver played the big stage and made some adults in the room nervous. Capped off the night watching the Deadheads dance with @maxmackeymusic .

My heart is full and my feet are tired. Until next year! taken in Fort Collins, Colorado by @isukendall
