Solitude.

This painting is deeply personal to me. For almost eight years, I’ve been learning what it means to live for myself
to walk my own path, make my own choices, and sit with my own thoughts.

And solitude has been a feeling I’ve carried with me, even in rooms full of people.

Through this painting, I wanted to give that feeling a form. But I also wanted to bring a part of my heritage into it something that connects where I come from with who I have become.

For me, this piece is not only about being alone. It’s about learning to find myself in that aloneness, and turning solitude into something meaningful, beautiful, and my own. 🤍

The darkness that light makes

My work explores the relationship between light and shadow as both a physical phenomenon and a metaphor for human experience.

Through photography, I capture shadows created by light, focusing on the tension between what is illuminated and what remains in darkness. Each image exists in this space between presence and absence, revealing how deeply light and shadow depend on one another.

For me, a shadow cannot exist without light. This simple physical truth becomes a metaphor for life. There are moments when we feel distant, lost, or as though we have disappeared into the dark. Yet even those moments are proof that light exists. A shadow is not the absence of light, but evidence of its presence.

These photographs invite us to look at darkness differently — not as something that erases the light, but as something created by it. They are a reflection on contrast, vulnerability, and hope, and on the idea that even when we cannot see the light, it may still be there.

I love exploring shapes and colors that evoke the feeling of being fragmented. It is something I recognize deeply in myself. I’m fascinated by forms that connect and belong together, yet appear broken apart.
