The Italian Design Day 2026, was organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Abuja and the Consulate General of Italy in Lagos, in partnership with the Interior Designers Association of Nigeria (IDAN) and Design Week Lagos.

This year’s theme, “Regenerative Design: Building Together to Inhabit the Future,” highlights how design and architecture can regenerate spaces, objects, ideas, and communities through sustainability, innovation, and inclusion.

November 17-20, 2025

We successfully hosted a 4-day training program at Lab Innova for Africa – Luca Attanasio, designed to enhance technical and managerial skills for businesses in Africa and Italy.

The course, led by ICE Faculty experts, included interactive and online sessions with Italian fashion companies, promoting cross-border collaboration, networking, and new business opportunities.

👗La Nigeria è uno dei cuori creativi del continente: una scena moda in piena trasformazione, una tradizione tessile radicata e una nuova generazione di designer e imprenditori pronti a raccontare la loro visione al mondo. Dopo la Lagos Fashion Week, questo territorio conferma il suo ruolo di motore culturale e produttivo, capace di connettere creatività, manifattura e nuove opportunità.

In questo contesto prende vita il percorso formativo del progetto: 40 aziende nigeriane selezionate parteciperanno a un programma intensivo che unisce competenze tecnico-manageriali, negoziazione internazionale, strategie di export e valorizzazione del settore. Un approccio pratico, arricchito da case study, simulazioni e testimonianze di imprese italiane che operano nel fashion system🤝
