Behind every finished home, there’s a day like this.

It starts with coffee, because good work starts with good people. Then comes the planning, the teamwork, the hours of careful, patient work and finally the conversation that matters most: Flavio explaining every detail to the homeowner so she knows exactly what’s been done in her home.

We don’t just paint walls. We take care of the people who live behind them, and the people who work to make them beautiful. by @italpaint_

Some homes just have a different kind of warmth.

This one is all about timber, and every surface was brought to life by the Italpaint team. Wood is a beautiful material, but it asks for patience, the right preparation and a steady hand. Get it right and it lasts for years. Get it wrong and you see it every single day.

That’s why we never rush the process. We prepare each surface properly, choose the right finish for the wood, and take the time to get the details right, from the big open areas to the smallest edge.

The result is a home that feels warm, natural and finished to a standard we’re proud to put our name on. by @italpaint_

So today we're working in this beautiful Victorian home.

First step, always: full coverage, protecting every piece of furniture and every surface before a single wall gets touched. Drop sheets down, fixtures taped, nothing left exposed. On a heritage home like this one, that care matters even more, these details are original, and once they're gone, they're gone.
Now we're focusing on painting the interior, room by room, taking the time each space actually needs rather than rushing through. Once everything is complete, we'll put everything back exactly where it belongs.

The result: a beautiful, fresh new look, without losing the character that made this home special in the first place. by @italpaint_

Yes, we're artists. Our canvas just happens to be your home.

Every house you see here started as a blank wall, a tired surface or a space that needed a fresh start. Our job is to turn it into something you love coming home to.

It takes more than a brush: careful preparation, the right products, the right colours and an eye for detail. That's what makes a finish look great on day one and still look great years later.

From interiors and exteriors to floors and everything in between, we treat every home like it's our own masterpiece.

A restored floor is an investment and the good news is, keeping it looking like day one doesn't take much. Just a few consistent habits.

First, skip the heels and hard-soled shoes indoors, they're one of the fastest ways to scratch a fresh finish.
Second, put felt pads under your furniture legs, so nothing drags or digs into the timber when you move things around.
Third, wipe up spills as soon as they happen, water is the enemy of timber floors, and the longer it sits, the more damage it can cause.
Fourth, try to keep your floor out of direct sunlight where you can, UV exposure fades and ages the finish faster than people expect.

And finally, recoat every few years. Don't wait until the floor actually needs a full resand a simple recoat at the right time protects the wood and saves you a bigger job down the line.

Five small habits, one floor that actually lasts. Save this post so you've got it when you need it. by @italpaint_

Before. After. And a whole lot of work in between.

These are some of our favourite transformations across Melbourne. Different homes, different surfaces, different styles, but the same result: a space that feels completely new.

Every project starts with a proper conversation about what you want, followed by careful preparation, because that's what makes the finish look great and last. What you see in the "after" is the result of the steps you don't see.

Which transformation is your favourite? Tell us in the comments by @italpaint_

Every wall turns out different. And that's exactly the point.

We're painting an entire home in limewash, a product that has been used for centuries and is now coming back in style.

Unlike regular paint, limewash isn't meant to be perfect. It moves, it has texture, it changes with the light. Every wall has its own character, almost like it's alive.

And here's the part most people don't know: limewash lets your walls breathe. It's a healthier choice than regular paint, and it looks incredible doing it.

If you love the imperfection and the soft, timeless look, this is the effect your home needs.

Want it done properly? Our team has the experience to apply it the right way, from preparation to the final coat. by @italpaint_

A finished room looks simple. What it takes to get there isn't.

Every job starts the same way, the right products, the right prep, a team that knows exactly what they're doing before the first coat goes on. Paint, floor products, hands-on work, attention to every corner.

This is the process behind every home we work on. Not glamorous just done properly, every time. by @italpaint_
