From the early mornings when the dinghy park is still quiet to being one of the very last to leave, Russ is always there.

His knowledge of the Topper is simply unmatched, and with Russ there is no such thing as a problem — only a solution to be found.

Whether it’s a last-minute repair, a spare part, advice or reassurance, he works tirelessly to keep our sailors on the water and racing.

Russ, your dedication, patience and friendship mean so much to the entire Topper community.

💥 What a start to the week! ☀️🌊

Great weather, champagne sailing and what a buzz around the dinghy park here at the Noble Marine Topper British Nationals 2026!

We’ve enjoyed some cracking conditions so far, with around 8–14 knots of breeze, a generally smooth to slight sea state, plenty of sunshine and some fantastic racing out on the water.

Back ashore, the Topper van has been BUSY! 🔧⛵️ It’s been great fun helping sailors and families throughout the first half of the week — whether it’s a quick repair, a spare part, a bit of advice or just a chat about how the racing is going.

That’s one of my favourite parts of these events: seeing the dinghy park absolutely buzzing, everyone helping each other out and so many young sailors enjoying their racing.

Three days down and plenty more to come!

TOPPER WORLDS 2026 🇫🇷🏆

📍Quiberon, France
🏅Gold fleet- 43rd

What an incredible final event at the Topper Worlds! ⛵️

Monday and Tuesday brought the qualification series in very light winds. We only managed to complete four of the six races, but it was enough to comfortably secure my place in the Gold Fleet.

The Finals Series took place over the following three days in light and tricky conditions. This meant plenty of time waiting both on and off the water during postponements, but it also gave me a great opportunity to meet new people, spend time with the fleet and reset between races.

A huge thank you to my coaches, @hammybakersailing , @jennareid.21 and Luke McIlwaine, for all their support and guidance throughout the week.

And a massive thank you to Topper Russ, who made sure my boat was in perfect condition for the week’s racing.

An amazing event, lots of lessons learned, and memories I’ll take away with me!

🌍 Topper World Championships 2026 - Quiberon, France 🇫🇷

What an incredible week in Quiberon!

The event started with two days of really light and shifty qualifying conditions. It wasn’t quite the qualifying series I’d hoped for, leaving me 33rd going into Gold Fleet.

The championships got off to the best possible start with a 🥈 in the first race, followed by a week of ups and downs. A tough final day saw me finish 66th in the last race, which unfortunately dropped me out of the overall top 20. While that was disappointing, overall I am proud of how I performed throughout the week and happy to finish as the top British female. Every event is another opportunity to learn, and I’m excited to take everything I’ve gained from this championship into nationals next week and the future!

The racing was only part of what made this week so special. Spending time in France with my family and friends, meeting so many amazing people from around the world, and making memories I’ll never forget made this an experience I’ll always look back on.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped me get here. To my family for all the travelling, support and encouragement, to my coach, Rory, at @gp_watercraft_ for all the time, advice and belief you’ve given me, and to @roosterkit for their continued support. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the Rooster team and to have kit I know I can rely on in every condition. Also a huge thanks to Russ at @toppersailboats for all of the quick fixes throughout the week. It was such an incredible event so I want to thank everyone who made it possible, especially @itcaworld and all of the volunteers.

⛵️Topper World Championship ⛵️⭐️ Du 25 au 31 juillet se déroulait les Championnats du monde de Topper, à Quiberon 🇫🇷. J’ai vécu une expérience exceptionnelle et très enrichissante. J’ai fait de nombreux apprentissages notamment au niveaux des lignes de départ, j’ai accompli plusieurs beaux départs qui m’ont permis de prendre de l’assurance et de la confiance en moi. Je souhaite remercier toute la délégation du Canada qui m’ont appuyé dans cet compétition, merci à mes parents et aux parents des autres athletes (Emanuel, Aude, Paula, Isabel). Merci à ma coach exceptionnelle Carmen Denis sans qui rien n’aurait été possible, merci de m’avoir amené de l’autre côté de l’océan pour une compétition! Merci à toute l’organisation de @itcaworld ! Et finalement, UN GRAND MERCI à mes commanditaires de m’avoir si bien appuyé dans cet aventure! Day 4 - le signal de départ original était prévu à 12h mais a dû être reporté à 14h en raison du manque de vent. Différentes activités improvisées nous ont permis de passer le temps, notamment avec les français. Le vent a atteint 9 noeuds direction nord-ouest, lorsque nous sommes sortis sur l’eau.
