Once sent out for talking.
Now invited to speak.

There are places that don’t just shape your memories they shape you.
For me, that place is Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Naruvamoodu.

Returning here after ten years, not as a student but as a guest, to inaugurate the school festival and speak to the next generation it felt like coming full circle in the most emotional and meaningful way.

This school has given me more than just an education.
It gave me direction, it gave me a stage, and above all it gave me people.

Teachers who believed in me. Who encouraged me to explore, to create, to express.
Who saw something in me even when I didn’t fully understand it myself.
I carry their lessons with me every day in my work, in my art, and in the way I try to show up in the world.

Everything I am today from the founding of Khasak Films to the incredible people I’ve been fortunate to work with began on this very stage.
Not in grand moments, but in small nudges, quiet encouragements, a teacher’s push to try, and the joy of simply participating.

This was the beginning of it all.
And to stand here today, to look into the eyes of students who are just beginning their own stories, filled me with hope and quiet joy.

To every student of Chinmaya may you find your own path, your own rhythm.
Whether you become an artist, a teacher, a scientist, a musician, a farmer, a filmmaker, or something the world hasn’t named yet .
May you stay rooted, curious, and kind.

This will always be one of the happiest moments of my life.
Forever grateful to my teachers, this school, and the journey it gave me. 🤍

This is what the 'simple' shoot looked like.
Spoiler: it wasn't, but it was fun.
