We’ve been performing as part of the Magic Lantern Anthology at Summerhall in Edinburgh. We’ve performed basically every night since August 6. It’s been so nice to have the time to work on this short piece we brought. We finished the puppets on the plane and buses here so it is quite new. We’re trying to make it better every time. We’re in such a fantastic group of six of us Puppeteers/Performers and we’re all doing tech for each other and living together in artist dorms across from Summerhall. It’s been a very special experience with @river_penix, @gono__ , @closeted_films, and @grahampuppetry. And thanks to @closeted_films for filming this while people were coming in and out of Summerhall at an impressive clip! taken in Summerhall by @itmust.benice

We’re excited to bring the twins (aka Lena Legs), back from out of hiding. We adore the Shrimp Concerto folks, our fellow performers and Rockaway Beach! And the weather looks like it will be a perfect high of 84 degrees that day 🤞!! (Unlike the Gehenna that is NYC this week) Bring the cat or the family! Hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach!

From @shrimpconcerto:
Come one come all to Drippy’s Drop Boardwalk Spectacular, a FREE, mystifying, water-soaked show of clowns, puppeteers, and drag performers, RIGHT on the boardwalk (eek!!!!)!!!!!
On July 9th at 7PM ish @shrimp_concerto invites you to the Rockaway Beach Amphitheater (off of 94th street).
Come for the dazzling lineup of @anamccoolguy, @sinasapit, @Itleimat, @itmust.benice, @mr_kywhy, @hey_mads, @kuntro.dicktion, @naughtylittlenogood, and @margegret, and stay for the mighty Atlantic itself (and the cotton candy if we get our act together!) taken in Rockaway Beach, NYC by @itmust.benice

Happy Pride Month!! It’s been a few years since I performed in actual drag, though it’s always been a core element of Must Be Nice. This was my first official drag look as Skid Caesar from January 2020, a great year to start a live performance career 10/10. I’ll be performing a drag piece with a puppety bent this Sunday 6/14 as part of Pincushion Puppet Club’s Puppet Slam. If you’re queer or wanna support the queers come see all the fantastic pieces! I’m honored to be performing among these talented folks (they all happen to be attractive too, doesn’t hurt). Kisses, Cam taken in Cassette by @itmust.benice

INTRODUCING:
MUST BE NICE
@itmust.benice is a collaborative duo of Cam “Mad Dog” Upton and Preston “Whoopsie Daisy” Wollner. They make strange and draggy little puppet pieces. It will be especially nice welcoming them into our beautiful home December 14th at Brooklyn Art Haus! by @itmust.benice

Our first performance piece as Must Be Nice. We performed it at the incredible venue: Rubulad for an @wewiggledolls show last year. Special thanks to Alanis Morrisette. taken in Rubulad by @itmust.benice
