I used to think mood boards were mostly just for making a project look organized lol, but they genuinely make filming so much easier.

Even if it's just a few screenshots, knowing the kind of lighting, colors, framing or overall feeling you're going for saves you from figuring everything out while the camera is already rolling.

I've Partnered with @milanoteapp to show you how I've been using it to keep all of that in one place before I shoot. Try Milanote today for free with no time limit.

There are three types of shots I use to make my videos feel way more dynamic and once you understand them, both your filming and editing get so much easier.

1️⃣: The push-in.
This is where you slowly move the camera toward your subject. You can use a slider, a gimbal, or literally just move the camera with your hands, like so. It’s super simple, but it pulls your viewer into the moment.

2️⃣: Foreground.
This is when you intentionally place something close to the camera a plant, a doorway, a chair, etc and then shoot through it or move past it.

I know it sounds almost too easy, but trust me, this adds so much depth to your shot.

And 3️⃣: The reveal.
Start with your subject hidden, then move the camera until they’re revealed. You can slide from behind a wall, move above an object, or even walk into the shot yourself.

This creates curiosity because your viewer is waiting to see what’s on the other side.

So try these three on your next shoot: push in, add something in the foreground, and finish with a reveal.

And that’s it. If you found this helpful , save and follow for more filmmaking and editing tips.

I used to think the hardest part of chasing a dream was affording it.
Then I realized time can be just as expensive.

Working 60–70 hours a week helped me buy my first camera, but it also taught me how important it is to control your time.

That’s what I appreciate about the flexibility behind dashing with DoorDash. Being able to earn around what you’re building matters.

Been using the FX5 for about a week now and I can already see why people are excited about it.

Open gate is probably the biggest thing for me. Being able to shoot once and frame for both long form and short form actually fits the way I want to work.

I still think $5,300 is a lot of money for a camera though.
For me, I can see the value. Curious what everyone else thinks about it.

S/O to : @sonyalpha @sonyelectronics @sonycine teams for sending me the FX5.

Here are 3 things I keep in mind when adding sound effects to an edit:

I also put together a full guide breaking down how I approach sound design in my edits.

If you want it, comment “DESIGN” and I’ll send it to you.

1️⃣: Use sound with intention
Don’t add a whoosh just because there’s movement on screen. Every sound should help sell the moment, whether that’s impact, tension, speed, emotion, or even something subtle the viewer barely notices.

2️⃣: Let silence do some of the work
You don’t need sound everywhere. Sometimes pulling everything back right before an important moment makes the next hit feel significantly stronger. Contrast is what gives sound its impact.

3️⃣: Connect sound to movement
When something moves, appears, cuts, or changes direction on screen, think about what the viewer should hear with it. Good sound design makes the visual feel more physical and keeps the edit flowing naturally.

Save this for your next edit if you found it useful.

I always thought people followed me mostly for the cinematic stuff.

Turns out, a bigger reason was how I made creating feel simpler and actually doable @chatgpt

That realization changed a lot for me, and eventually helped shape my TCT series. Sometimes what your audience wants is already right in front of you. #ChatGPT_Partner by @its.arthur7

Comment" TCT" and I'll send you my Export Preset for free.

One of the easiest ways to keep your videos looking cinematic after export is using the right settings. And here are the three I use every time in just 10 seconds

Step 1️⃣: Go to Sequence Settings and check these two boxes.
This makes sure Premiere processes your footage at full quality.

Step 2️⃣:Head to Export. Keep your format on H.264, match your source, and check these two settings for maximum render quality.

Step 3️⃣: Set your bitrate to VBR, 1 Pass. I usually stay between
20 and 60, but 30 is my sweet spot for most videos.
And if this helped, save and follow for more.

23.

Birthdays have a funny way of making you look at your life from a little farther away than you normally do. Most days, I’m thinking about what I need to make next, what I still want to improve, or what version of myself I haven’t become yet. I don’t stop very often to think about how different my life already looks from the one I used to imagine.

I think one of the strangest things about growing up is realizing that progress rarely feels like progress while you’re inside of it. You’re usually just figuring things out, learning, changing, and moving forward.

There’s still a lot I want from life, but I don’t want ambition to make me overlook answered prayers just because they eventually became normal.

So at 23, I’m grateful for how far I’ve come, for everyone who has been part of the journey, and for how much of it still feels unwritten. by @its.arthur7

Sony Kando 2026 was a special one.

My second year being part of Kando, and somehow I left even more grateful than the first. So many moments never made it to the camera because I genuinely just wanted to be present, have good conversations, meet people I’ve admired, and enjoy being around a community that cares deeply about creating.

Huge thank you to the @sonyalpha and @sonyelectronics team for continuing to bring such talented people from all over the world into one place. And to everyone I got to meet, reconnect with, learn from, laugh with, and create alongside y'all made this one what it was.

Also… finally got some time with the FX5 and yeah, I FEAR it may have earned a spot in the camera bag soon lol.

Premiere’s color workflow has changed quite a bit.

I’ve been testing the new Color Mode in Premiere (beta), and one of my favorite changes is how much easier it is to actually understand what you’re doing while grading.

Log footage can be color managed automatically, you can isolate parts of the image with color masking, and the grading process feels much more visual.

If color grading in Premiere has ever felt intimidating, this feature makes it considerably easier to start. Try Color Mode in Premiere (beta) and let me know what you think.
