I'd like to introduce you to Evan Grant, host of the Sigma Citadel...he wears Cat and Jack Boys shirts to show off his muscles, raw dogs protein powder, and will be discussing the latest Nolan movie...well at least until Eva hacks the podcast and steals the show. The latest episode of Garden of Eva has dropped and today we are talking about the wettest movie in town…The Odyssey! I did it again. I saw it in 4DX for my first showing and got so wet. It’s nice when movies do that to you sometimes, haha. I thought it was beautiful and had great action scenes, but the one dimensional female characters and story bloat had me holding back on giving it a full 3 apples. Also, loved the horror and wished we had more and that he lingered on it longer to build up the terror.

I'm back after a mini hiatus! I’ve been radio silent for a little over a week because I was out of town for my cousin's wedding in Colorado. They decided to do a phone free affair and I took that as an opportunity to unplug and take a break from socials too. Anyways, I’m back with a bunch of physical media I got on the trip. I was going to do a video, but my voice sounds terrible from all the wildfire smoke and allergies, haha. Resting it up so I can have a new Garden of Eva for you on that new movie that everyone keeps talking about…idk Ulysses I think..anyways here's what I got!

First up, a Hemingway collection because who doesn’t love a tortured macho writer who questions machismo and invented key lime pie?

Next, Ulysses. My great shame. I still haven’t read it despite studying Irish literature. I focused on marginalized ladies and just didn’t get the chance to dive into this one. Probably will make a series about reading it because you know, it's one of the more difficult reads out there.

Brave New Worlds, because why not unwind and relax with dystopic short stories.

Butler's Seed to Harvest. I'm try to start a garden and thought this would help. JK, it's a sci-fi novel quartet with telepaths and I basically know nothing else and I’ve been trying to keep it that way until I read it. So you know, no spoilers.

The last book is this Canterbury Tales. I read it in highschool, college, and grad school of course, but there is something so tragic about seeing a worn clearance mark sticker on a classic that I picked it up instantly like it was a three legged dog.

Movies, Hellraiser. I actually have never seen it so I am excited. Sixth Sense. My first scary movie as a kid that still makes me jump on my bed because I’m scared of something grabbing my ankles. And Drunken Master. A Kungfu comedy classic that I lost in a move and am glad to have back.
