Back to where it all began…

New Student Orientation, there are not enough words that can explain how thankful I am. Thank you for helping mold me into the leader I am today while giving me the guidance needed to find my purpose and allowing me to build my connections within this great FAMUly. @famu_nso

I will forever be grateful to the 2021 OL team for being my inspiration to do as much as I do now. Y’all helped a shy quiet student feel comfortable with this university in a time of need. Now I have been able to continue that same legacy and help hundreds of students with their transition into FAMU.

To my 2023 OL team, thank you for an unforgettable summer of fun and memories. I love you all and hope we all continue to succeed in our plans for the future. Through the good and bad, we are still a family. I know it still hurts to think about the loss we had two years ago but if we keep going on to honor his legacy, we will forever be Dre’s last team.

To the 2024 and the 2025 OLs, keep up the legacy that Dre and Mr. Nance have worked so hard on. Continue to grow as individuals and leaders, while always keeping in mind your duty to serve your campus as a leader.

Lastly to the team who picked me to be an OL, thank you for trusting me in this position and I am honored to have served my role.

It’s more than an organization, it’s a family.

To the organization that helped sharpen my skills, provided a brotherhood, and the guidance to always execute to the best of my ability.

Thank you to the Godfather Chapter of Progressive Black Men Inc. for giving me a chance. I’m happy to have been able to do as much as I have in this short time and wish to only see the chapter continue to flourish and reach new heights. @famu.pbm 🔋

To 13S, 19KHZ, and S16, thank you for holding down the foundation of this organization and making it a space for my class and the classes after mine to continue the legacy of progression. I appreciate having you all as older brothers that I can come to if I ever need help.

To A22, my CBs, I could not and would not ask for a different set of brothers. I love you all and I’m glad that I had the chance to build a brotherhood with all of you. The time has flown by so quickly but we all have grown in our different ways and are still becoming the gentlemen we want to be and I’m glad to witness this and be a part of the journey. Through thick and thin, y’all have been there for me and I want nothing more than to see all of us succeed as a collective.

TS22, my sons, even with all the headaches y’all gave me, I’m proud of you. Continue to grow as individuals, stay strong as brothers, and be ready for whatever challenges life may throw your way. I’m glad to have the chance to be your MC and not only help guide you all into PBM but also allow me to grow as a leader and an individual. There is always room to be better so continue to progress and hold the chapter down.

O26, my grandkids, although our time together may not have been long, I can tell you all will be great. I see the talent and potential that each of you have, use it to continue pushing the chapter forward and make your presence at FAMU. It’s just the beginning, but I know you will be ready for whatever challenges may come your way.
